The guard yawned nonstop as he battled the unexpected onslaught of drowsiness. He rubbed his teary eyes and also slapped himself thrice.
Unfortunately, the sudden sleepiness didn't recede.
"Haa... Why am I so sleepy?" the guard murmured under his breath.
As he blinked his reddening eyes, he hoped that his comrades would come soon. The shifts would be exchanged in approximately ten minutes. He couldn't wait to return to his quarters and sleep like a log.
At the same time, Isaac waved his hand, concealing Felix and Regina with his ability. Then, the duo speedily climbed down the tree.
Like Isaac, Felix's first reaction upon regrouping was to whistle while looking at Hazel in mock fear. As for Regina, she gave the young healer a thumbs-up with a wide smile plastered on her face.
"It's nothing too impressive."
Hazel smirked, one hand flipping her ponytail. She was clearly pleased with her own performance. Not far away, the guard yawned loudly again.
