After another round of eye-rolling, Lucille looked at the spread of ingredients scattered across the counter. She blinked, unsure where to begin. Her gaze drifted to the man beside her.
"En... So what should I do first? Wash the fruits? To make the fillings, you know? Or...?"
Ashrik shook his head, one hand resting on his hip. "Let's start with the crust. We need to refrigerate it for a few hours."
"Oh!" She brightened instantly, hands clapping once in sheer happiness. "Right, right. The crust is important! Hehe, I'm excited to try the pies already."
Lucille's excitement was genuine, practically bubbling out of her. Then, a sudden realization struck her cold. She had forgotten about another important part of baking pies.
"Wait..." Her eyes narrowed suspiciously as she scanned the kitchen. She returned her gaze to the man. "Brother Ash, do you even have an oven? I haven't seen one ah."
