Chapter 50 - It’s Official

Friday, October 9th.

Lin Feng lazily dragged himself out of bed.

He woke up his roommates with a few tired calls, then grabbed his toiletries and shuffled toward the bathroom.

The last three days had been more or less identical to Monday.

They followed the same routine - morning meetings, deliveries, studying, coding lessons, meals together. The only notable event was on Wednesday, when their stock had almost completely run out. Fortunately, Li Jun's uncle was back in business by then, and they were able to restock just in time.

They had used most of their money on the restock, saving only two thousand yuan. Five hundred was set aside for storage rent, a thousand for opening the business bank account, and the remainder would cover the company seals.

Speaking of which, he wondered when his business registration would be approved.

He pulled up his system.

[Infinite Money System]

[Total System Balance: ¥2,590.00]

[Available System Balance: ¥2,590.00]

[Personal Balance: ¥23,371.00]

Just the other day, he had been excited about reaching ten thousand. Now he was already past twenty.

With this amount of money, he could finally start moving much more confidently.

...

When he returned to the room, the others had also finished getting ready.

They gathered for their usual meeting.

The reports were mostly standard.

Zhang Wei also confirmed that the app was complete and could even be used publicly.

Lin Feng nodded approvingly.

"Good work. But don't stop there - keep polishing it. When we roll out as a legitimate business, it won't look good if customers run into bugs."

He turned to Chen Ming.

"Work with Zhang Wei to set up a beta test. Use some of the loyal customers in the group chat. They can help us find issues before the official launch."

Chen Ming grinned. "And compensation?"

"Store credits," Lin Feng said. "Use the new system we created. It's a good opportunity to test that too."

With the meeting concluded, Lin Feng headed out to handle his deliveries.

His last order was for the class monitor.

After making the delivery, he didn't have anything else to do and so the two of them walked to class together, chatting casually along the way.

...

They only had a single class that day.

And the teacher didn't even show up.

It seemed they were still busy getting things in order after the long holiday.

Or maybe just lazy. After all, it was a Friday.

It would have been better if the school had simply made it a free day and resumed classes on Monday. Unfortunately, tomorrow - Saturday - was also designated as a workday to compensate for the extended Golden Week holiday.

Not that it mattered much in practice. They didn't have any Saturday classes scheduled, so it was really just a workday on paper.

After the non-class ended, Lin Feng made his way back to the dorm.

As he walked, his phone buzzed with a notification.

He glanced at the screen.

His smile widened.

His business registration - it had been approved.

Lin Feng walked alongside his roommates - Chen Ming, Li Jun, and Zhang Wei - toward the campus entrance.

A familiar figure stood waiting near the gate.

Lin Feng approached him with a smile.

"Yu Shen, glad you could make it."

Yu Shen nodded in greeting.

Lin Feng turned toward his roommates.

"Guys, this is Yu Shen." He gestured between them. "He and I are planning to start a hedge fund together - one that uses artificial intelligence for stock trading."

The three roommates stared at him with surprised expressions.

"It's a whole thing," Lin Feng said, waving his hand. "I'll fill you guys in later."

He pointed at each of his roommates in turn.

"This is Chen Ming. He's our CMO for the delivery business I told you about."

Chen Ming grinned and gave a small wave.

"This is Li Jun. He's our CEO."

Yu Shen nodded respectfully.

"And this is Zhang Wei, our CTO."

Lin Feng's voice took on a proud, almost bragging tone.

"He's also a coding genius."

Zhang Wei's face flushed with embarrassment. "Genius is a little..."

But Chen Ming and Li Jun were already nodding proudly beside him, as if to confirm.

"You and him are both coding geniuses," Lin Feng continued, glancing between Yu Shen and Zhang Wei. "So you'll probably get along well."

The roommates' eyes widened at this revelation. They slowly nodded in understanding.

No wonder he was opening an AI trading hedge fund. He had the skills to back it up.

The boss's eye for people really was on point.

"It's nice to meet you," both parties said, bowing to each other.

Yu Shen and Zhang Wei held each other's gaze for a moment longer - a quiet acknowledgment passing between them.

Then they fell into step as Lin Feng moved forward.

"Anyway, we should hurry up," he said. "There might be a lot of people there after being closed for so long."

...

They arrived at the Market Supervision Administration office.

Contrary to Lin Feng's expectations, there were only a handful of people inside. The post-holiday rush hadn't quite hit yet. Or maybe there just weren't that many people interested in business stuff.

Within a few minutes, Lin Feng was called up. He submitted his documents and, after a short wait, received his business license for Fenghua Holdings.

He held the certificate in his hands, allowing himself a small smile.

It's official now.

Next, he went in with his roommates to register their delivery business.

They submitted several proposed names for verification, with their primary choice being Xunfeng Delivery which meant Swift Wind Delivery. He felt it was a little ironic considering how slow their deliveries were. Well, they should be able to solve this issue soon after the registration.

There wasn't much else to do after that. They would have to wait for the name to be approved before returning to apply for the actual business license.

Finally, Lin Feng accompanied Yu Shen to do the same.

They submitted a few name options, with their main choice of course being Tianji Capital.

Lin Feng had suggested it earlier, and Yu Shen had taken to it immediately - his eyes lighting up when he heard it.

Probably because, in another timeline, he would have come up with that name himself.
