"Kakarot!"
At that moment, Vegeta also noticed Goku's strange condition and stopped preparing to attack.
"Could it be the viral heart disease Trunks mentioned?" Gohan spoke with a serious expression.
"Viral heart disease?!" Everyone immediately turned to look at him.
"But didn't Trunks give Goku the medicine?" Krillin asked.
"He did," Gohan replied, "But Dad has always been healthy, so he never took it."
"Trunks…"
Hearing that name, Vegeta's thoughts immediately drifted to the newborn baby at home.
Same name. Same hair color.
"Could it be—"
"Agh!!"
Before Vegeta could finish his thought, Goku suddenly cried out in pain and collapsed to the ground, his body reverting to normal.
"Goku!" Krillin and the others rushed over immediately.
Vegeta snorted coldly and also reverted to his base form.
"What are you all standing around for?" he said sharply.
"Are you planning to watch Kakarot die, or are you going to take him back for treatment?"
"Oh—right!" Krillin snapped out of it.
"I'll take Dad home!" Gohan said without hesitation.
Piccolo nodded.
Since Gohan could use Instant Transmission, he was the fastest choice.
"But Gohan, if you leave, what if the Androids suddenly appear?" Yamcha asked nervously.
Even with numbers, Yamcha felt only Goku and Gohan could actually handle the Androids.
Vegeta's face darkened immediately.
"If Kakarot and Gohan are gone, don't you still have me?" he said angrily.
"I've already completely surpassed Kakarot!"
Yamcha instinctively took a few steps back. Even though Vegeta was no longer an enemy, Yamcha still feared him.
"Uncle Yamcha, why don't you come back with me?" Gohan suggested.
"…Alright," Yamcha glanced at Krillin and the others, then agreed.
It was embarrassing, but survival came first.
"Hmph!" Vegeta snorted coldly, his contempt for Yamcha deepening.
Without wasting time, Gohan placed a hand on Goku and Yamcha and vanished using Instant Transmission.
Goku's House
Chi-Chi was preparing lunch when she suddenly heard Goku's painful groans.
She rushed outside.
"Goku!"
Then she immediately turned to Gohan.
"Gohan, what happened to your father?!"
"Dad's viral heart disease has flared up."
"The illness the boy from the future mentioned?"
Gohan nodded.
"Mom, where did you put the medicine?"
"It's inside! I'll get it right now!" Chi-Chi hurried back into the house and quickly returned with the medicine.
Back at the Islands
After Goku and the others left, Vegeta immediately turned toward Krillin.
"Hey, little baldy," Vegeta said coldly.
"What was that guy talking about earlier—about Androids appearing?"
"I'm not 'little baldy'!" Krillin snapped, "My name is Krillin!"
Who did he offend by being bald?
Calling him "baldy" was already bad enough—but adding "little" was just insulting.
"Fine," Vegeta said impatiently, "Krillin. Explain."
"The Androids Trunks mentioned were created by Dr. Gero of the Red Ribbon Army—the same man Goku defeated years ago."
"Yes, I know that," Vegeta said. "So what?"
"Since they were made to get revenge on Goku, even if Androids 17 and 18 didn't appear today, they'll definitely show up eventually."
Vegeta let out a short laugh.
"So you think they haven't been completed yet?"
"I don't know," Krillin admitted. "But one thing's certain—Dr. Gero won't give up on revenge."
"Dr. Gero…" Vegeta narrowed his eyes. "Do you have a way to find him?"
"Why do you want to find Dr. Gero?" Krillin asked.
"Does that even need to be asked?" Vegeta snapped.
"I want to know whether the Androids are finished—and then I'll defeat them myself!"
"Defeat them yourself?"
"For three years I trained like a madman!" Vegeta roared, "All to defeat Kakarot and those two Androids!
I thought today was finally my chance! But Kakarot collapses from a heart attack, and the Androids don't even show up!"
The more he spoke, the angrier he became.
I just wanted to show off—why is it so damn hard?!
"There is one way to find Dr. Gero," Krillin said carefully, "But it requires the Dragon Balls."
"The Dragon Balls?!"
"Yes. If we summon Shenron, we can ask for Dr. Gero's location. But… isn't that a bit of a waste?"
"Why not just wait for the Androids to appear? With Gohan's strength, he can definitely defeat them."
Vegeta snorted coldly, "I'm finding Dr. Gero now."
"Where are the Dragon Balls?"
"They're scattered across Earth," Krillin replied, "We'll need Bulma's Dragon Radar."
"Bulma…"
Just then, a jet descended from the sky.
The hatch opened.
Yajirobe stepped out first, followed by Bulma, holding baby Trunks in her arms.
"Bulma!" Krillin greeted her.
She nodded, "Where are Goku and the others?"
"Goku had a heart attack," Krillin said, "Gohan and Yamcha took him home."
"A heart attack?" Bulma frowned.
"Didn't the boy from the future give him medicine? Don't tell me he never took it."
Krillin nodded awkwardly.
"Then why are you here?" he asked.
"I was curious," Bulma said casually.
"I wanted to see what the Androids Dr. Gero created look like."
Krillin gave a dry laugh.
Everyone else was terrified, yet Bulma was just… curious.
Brave—or reckless.
Then Vegeta suddenly spoke.
"Bulma. Where is the Dragon Radar?"
"I left it at home. Why?"
"Vegeta wants to use the Dragon Balls to find Dr. Gero," Krillin explained.
"Dr. Gero?" Bulma blinked, "Why find him?"
"The Androids didn't show up today," Krillin said.
"So Vegeta wants to locate Dr. Gero directly and find out where the Androids are."
