"Sorry. Shuangshou Pavilion was in the wrong this time. Please forgive us."
An elderly man with a long beard walked over. Though his hair was white, his body was still sturdy and full of vigor.
"Heh…" Mu Nianbing let out a faint, cold chuckle.
This old man had clearly been nearby all along but had only chosen to appear now.
It was Mochizuki Meiken — the famed Hunter King of the Island Nation.
A man of great reputation in the global Hunter world, and one whose strength was undeniably formidable.
"Chihaya, that bad temper of yours hasn't changed at all," Mochizuki Meiken said sternly.
"You knew they were our honored guests, yet you still attacked them."
After lightly reprimanding Mochizuki Chihaya, his gaze lingered on Mu Nianbing for a long moment.
The aura of ice surrounding this man was enough to make one's heart freeze.
"Honored guests? Hmph!" Mochizuki Chihaya glared at Mu Nianbing, still unwilling to back down.
Even if he was strong, that didn't give him the right to insult Shuangshou Pavilion.
"Always losing your temper," Mu Nianbing said lazily, "you should be careful of developing an endocrine imbalance."
"Bastard!!" Mochizuki Chihaya's cheeks flushed crimson with anger.
Mochizuki Meiken sighed helplessly. This girl still needed a lot more tempering.
"Chihaya, you will escort them around the West Guardian Pavilion," He ordered, his tone brooking no refusal.
"If you start another fight, you'll be confined for a month."
Though clearly unhappy, Mochizuki Chihaya could only nod obediently.
After giving his instructions, Mochizuki Meiken was about to leave when Mu Nianbing spoke up:
"We're short on time. Let's skip the tour. After we deal with your contestants, we still have to get to Tokyo."
Mochizuki Meiken frowned slightly.
Judging from the strength Mu Nianbing had shown earlier, defeating his National Institute contestants would be child's play.
To be frank, not even the National Government Team of the Island Nation would stand a real chance against him.
"Are you certain you want to challenge the Institute right now?" Mochizuki Meiken asked seriously.
"One hundred percent certain," Mu Nianbing replied flatly.
He wasn't initially in a rush, but his irritation hadn't quite subsided.
That tsundere brat, Mochizuki Chihaya, still needed a proper lesson.
Seeing Mu Nianbing's confidence, Mochizuki Meiken could only sigh and agree.
After notifying the necessary personnel, he left the matter in Mochizuki Chihaya's hands.
Mochizuki Chihaya's expression turned grim. Even she knew that the Institute contestants stood no chance.
When Shuangshou Pavilion lost — and it was inevitable they would — most of the blame would fall squarely on her shoulders.
Two or three hours later, Jiang Shaoxu returned to Shuangshou Pavilion with several girls.
They'd planned to grab dinner first, but upon arrival were told that everyone was at the arena and no food had been prepared.
So, still hungry, they made their way there — only to find that two rounds of the competition had already ended.
"You guys couldn't wait until dinner?" Jiang Shaoxu groaned, rubbing her stomach and glaring at Mu Nianbing.
"You'd better have a good reason for this."
"I was just being considerate," Mu Nianbing said smoothly.
"You looked tired from shopping, so I let you rest."
Jiang Shaoxu rolled her eyes — she didn't believe that for a second.
By the time they arrived, the second round had just concluded — both matches ending in decisive victories for the China Team.
"Who's going up for the third match?" Nan Jue asked.
Mu Nianbing pointed at himself.
Nan Jue and Jiang Shaoxu exchanged stunned looks.
It was just an institute challenge — did their captain really need to step in personally?
Even without knowing his full strength, they'd seen him annihilate the Crimson Raptor Demon pack before. His power ranked at the upper tier of Advanced Mages.
And this was only the training phase! Even at the Venice finals, few National Government contestants reached such a level.
"Aren't you bullying honest people?" Jiang Shaoxu muttered under her breath.
Mu Nianbing didn't answer. He simply turned toward the Island Nation's seating area, locked eyes with Mochizuki Chihaya, and said.
"Weren't you arrogant earlier? Come on then — let's see what you're really made of."
"You…!" Mochizuki Chihaya's blood boiled.
What did this man think she was — some street thug to test his strength on?
This guy was even more insufferable than she'd imagined.
"Don't you regret it!" she shouted, leaping up immediately.
This was the perfect chance to vent her anger — she wouldn't waste it.
"She's not a National Institute contestant. Choose someone else," Mochizuki Meiken interjected before she could step onto the stage.
He already anticipated a complete defeat — humiliating, but manageable.
However, if Mochizuki Chihaya herself lost, it would be a devastating blow to Shuangshou Pavilion's reputation.
"I have no interest in fighting them," Mu Nianbing said bluntly.
"There's no challenge."
His words made the surrounding Island Nation mages turn ashen-faced.
They wanted to protest — but none could find a rebuttal.
Already furious, Mochizuki Chihaya couldn't endure the humiliation any longer.
Without another word, she stepped into the arena.
"Miss Chihaya, teach that guy a good lesson!" A contestant shouted, completely unaware of the disaster that was about to unfold.
Mochizuki Chihaya didn't reply. Her earlier arrogance was gone, replaced by a serious expression.
She knew now that her opponent wasn't someone to take lightly.
As the referee announced the start, Mu Nianbing stomped lightly — and the Mystic Ice Domain erupted outward, freezing the entire arena in an instant.
Since he had decided to deal with this woman, there was no need to hold back.
"What terrifying Ice Element control!" Several senior officials of Shuangshou Pavilion exclaimed in shock.
This level of control far surpassed that of most Advanced Mages.
Mochizuki Meiken's expression remained composed, though a flicker of worry crossed his eyes.
If Chihaya was completely crushed, Shuangshou Pavilion's face would be beyond saving.
"Vast Ocean Domain!" Mochizuki Chihaya shouted, summoning her Water Domain to gain an environmental advantage.
Her domain spread rapidly, flooding the entire arena.
Domains generally fell into two categories: those that enhanced one's own power, and those that suppressed the opponent's.
Mochizuki Chihaya's Vast Ocean Domain was the latter — it restricted her enemy's ability to absorb nearby elemental energy.
"Who doesn't have a domain?" Mu Nianbing smirked.
"Mystic Ice Domain!"
Even under the suppression of her water domain, he easily released his own.
Under the Ice God's Blessing, Mu Nianbing didn't even need to absorb surrounding elements — they naturally flocked to him, like returning to their master's embrace.
The moment the two domains clashed, the victor was already decided.
A surge of freezing cold swept outward, coating the entire arena in a meter-thick layer of ice.
The chilling aura extended even beyond the boundaries, reaching the spectators themselves.
