Rai and Zade didn't see each other the next morning.
Zade was still dead asleep, buried under his blanket, while Rai had left earlier than usual after being told to arrive before classes started for a meeting about the upcoming trip.
So at school, everything continued almost painfully normal.
Rai distracted himself with work the entire day, focusing on papers, schedules, and students so he wouldn't think too much.
And Zade's day went about as normally as possible too.
Both of them were trying to forget what happened.
Trying to act like it meant nothing.
Like it was just some strange moment that could be ignored if they pretended hard enough.
Did it work?
No.
Because neither of them could truly believe anything was normal anymore.
Not what they did.
Not the way they felt.
Nothing about them felt normal.
"Teacher Rai-"
Rai quietly sighed before turning toward Teacher Lia.
