Rai sat melted onto the sofa, dazed, frozen, listening to Zade. Even as Zade moved away, went to his room, and closed the door, Rai stayed still, staring at the ceiling and catching his breath.
And of course, yeah, he knew there would be a next time. He might also not like it if things ended abruptly like this. But it was good Zade had the decency to stop feasting on him, because... well, Rai didn't really need any more additions to the persistent evidence already left on his body. He needed that break.
As Rai's breathing calmed, he closed his eyes and let out a long, final exhale before gathering the strength to sit up, wipe the heat from his cheeks, and head to his room.
But that kiss had done more than just linger.
