"I can't," Nero murmured, tears welling in his eyes.
Gotti almost growled with frustration but he forced himself to calm down because of the boy. The map Nero had drawn had stripped him of every hope of finding Anita that night.
It was almost impossible.
He paced the room, mentally counting down from ten before he paused and faced Nero, who was sitting on his bed and staring at the empty page on his lap.
"It's okay, Nero. Everything is going to be fine," He said gently, walking over to his son.
"We're going to find her, it's alright," He lowered himself in front of Nero and used his thumb to wipe away the stray tear.
"It's okay if you can't draw anything now. You're stressed and should get some sleep. We'll try again after you wake up, okay?" He whispered, patting Nero's head.
Nero sniffled, "He said he'll kill her. He said Maribel will be Luna and my new mama... I don't want her." He croaked, fresh tears falling faster than before.
