What is this? Everything is collapsing. The city is vanishing. What is this crystal?
Move, Matra! Save the civilians immediately!
The Cosmic Crystal has gone out of control; the entire area is being erased.
Flames consumed the broken streets, the ground cracked, and buildings collapsed one by one. A glowing crystal hovered in the sky, pulsating with terrifying energy, while the screams of humans echoed below. No one knew how the world had reached this point, or who would survive what was coming. Then, everything sank into darkness.
In a world where a mysterious power called Parka exists, humans realized that strength, speed, and physical ability were not determined solely by birth. They depend on the amount of Parka flowing through the body. Those who possess this power are called Parka Users, and the more Parka one has, the stronger they become.
Most Parka Users live on an island called Parkara, which spans about five million square kilometers. Surrounding it are four smaller islands, each larger than half a million square kilometers. On these islands, Parka Users coexist with ordinary humans, while in the rest of the world, Parka Users are rarely seen.
Our story begins with a boy named Kazuki.
Kazuki was born to ordinary parents. His father was not a Parka User and lived a simple life, but his closest friend was the strongest Parka User of his era, a man whose name was known across the islands. His mother was ordinary as well, but fate had touched her life strangely in her childhood.
One day, while walking in the forest, she found a glowing crystal nestled between the roots of ancient trees. The moment she touched it, a strong shock surged through her body, and she fainted. When she awoke, the crystal had vanished completely, leaving no trace. The memory stayed with her throughout her life.
Years later, Kazuki was born.
In the hospital room, his mother lay dying. She looked at her husband and asked him to care for their son and raise him to be strong. Her last words were the testimony of faith:
"I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His messenger."
Then she passed away peacefully.
His father wept beside her, then looked at his son and said, "You will be a hero, Kazuki." He named him as his wife wished, because she loved the clear sky and the shining moon, seeing in them symbols of hope.
Five years later, Kazuki lost his father as well, leaving him completely alone in the world. Afterward, an old man named Tatsu, a former Parka User and a strict yet kind teacher, took him under his wing. He saw something unusual in the boy and decided to train him.
Nine years of harsh training followed. Kazuki learned to control his Parka, strengthen his body, and sharpen his mind. Every day brought a new challenge, but he never gave up, remembering his parents' words.
After those years, Tatsu sent him to Mount Yarno, where he spent a full year training endurance, meditation, and patience. Living alone with nature, he learned to listen to his inner power and understand its flow.
After returning to Furoko City, he enrolled in the Martial Arts School for Parka Users. The minimum requirement for admission was 100 Parka units—a number few could reach.
Kazuki was a rare case. At birth, his Parka measured five units, while ordinary children had only one. Parka Users were surprised but assumed he would be weak, since neither parent was a Parka User. Meanwhile, three children were born with 100 Parka units because both their parents were Parka Users.
Now, Kazuki stood at the entrance exam.
He passed the first stage successfully, reaching 362 Parka units and ranking twelfth. Gathering Parka required extreme focus and complete control.
During the break, before the second stage, Kazuki met a boy named Mitsu, who offered him friendship. Kazuki happily accepted. He then met a shy girl named Mio, who spoke little. Kazuki wondered what shyness meant, and they all laughed together.
As the break ended, the second stage was announced. Kazuki took a deep breath, feeling a mix of excitement and tension. Would he have the willpower?
Would he achieve his dream and become the strongest Parka User, or fall at the first obstacle?
