Isaac's group all rode Gryphons this time; although these beasts were afraid of the dragon, they still obeyed orders.
Because there was no absolute binding of a magic contract, Isaac, as a knight, could only try to draw closer to the Gryphons through frequent contact, feeding, and petting, hoping that one of those valiant Gryphons would accept becoming his loyal personal mount.
As the only knight of the Black Dragon territory at present, and the loyal knight who had painstakingly protected the territory through its darkest periods all these years, Isaac was fully qualified and deserved to have a Gryphon of his own.
As for whether Isaac would gain the recognition of these proud creatures, it would depend on Isaac's own ability and patience.
