Olivia dropped me back underneath my house before leaving, telling me that she would update me once everything was settled in a few days.
I did ask her what I should expect and she told me that we would most likely be working as an independent entity from now on, whatever that meant.
Since I already had a better understanding of my physical prowess, I returned to my room by jumping through the window instead of going back through the front door.
Thankfully, my sister did not seem to have noticed my absence last night and didn't come to my room either.
I received a call the next morning and I thought it was Olivia, only to see that it was from Dan.
"Morning, bitch," He greeted affectionately.
"Fuck you. What are you calling me so early on a Sunday for?"
"Just checking if you're still alive or dying in a ditch, mister vigilante."
"You would be the first I'll call if I'm dying in a ditch, don't worry about it."
He ignored my jab and asked, "So how was yesterday? Got any criminals?"
"No. I was mostly testing out my abilities yesterday so I didn't do any patrolling."
"Hahaha! Patrolling he says! You funny boy. So what? You were testing out the abilities you copied from me?"
"Kind of… I fell down from like ten stories high and was completely fine."
There was a pause on his side of the call before he grumbled, "What the fuck bro. There's better ways to test your abilities instead of jumping off a building dude."
"Would you believe me if I told you falling down from that height was completely accidental and not something I planned for?"
"You know what? Yeah, because you're stupid like that."
"Fuck off. You called me for something else right? What do you want?"
"I figured that if you were going to do this for real, then maybe I might join you on some nights you know? Just like walk around or something?"
Eh? I admit that was a surprise coming from him since I would have expected him to be too busy for this…

"No offence bro… But I already told you that your ability isn't really suited for this, right?"
"Sure, sure. At least try first before you talk shit, bro."
"I'll think about it."
"Meet you tonight then. Same place as usual."
He ended the call before I could say anything else.
I clucked my tongue in annoyance right before the door flung open.
"Good mooooooorning Gor Gor!!!" My sister yelled, adopting a triumphant pose.
I narrowed my eyes at her, "What the hell do you want?"
"Eh? You already wake up ah? So boring… I wanted to jump on you to wake you up~"
"Where's mom?"
She ignored me and did a running jump towards my bed and I had to scramble out of the way just in time before she landed on top of the bed.
I pushed myself up against the wall at the head of the bed and scowled at her, "What the heck are you doing?"
She pushed herself up on an elbow and pouted at me, "Ehhh… Why you so boring one, Gor?"
"Where's mom?" I asked again.
"She went out to find her friends already~ And dad went out to do some work so today only got us two at home now~"
"No wonder you can make so much noise and not get your ass smacked."
"Oi, please hor~ I too cute to be smacked~" She giggled, even pressing her index fingers on both sides of her cheeks to make a cute pose.
It only made me feel more annoyed instead so I went up to try to grab her to put her in a headlock but she saw it coming and quickly scurried away from me to dodge me.
She stuck out her tongue at me and I clucked my tongue in annoyance.
My sister then came forward and leaned herself on me, "Awww~ Gor Gor~ Too slow eh~"
I ignored her jab to switch the topic, "What's for breakfast?"
"I dunno. Mom never cook breakfast so we will have to eat out."
I sighed, "Then hurry up and go change. We'll go to Clementi Mall to eat."
Another copy of my sister then appeared at the doorway already dressed up and spreading her arms proudly, "Tadah! I finish liao, Gor Gor! Why you still so slow! Hurry up leh!"
Should have known the one that was messing with me was her clone.
I pinched the clone on the cheek, causing both the clone and the real one to let out yelps of pain.
"Ow ow ow!! Ok! Ok!! I'm sowwyyyy!!"
I let her go and she quickly dematerialised her clone so that I couldn't do it again while the real one rubbed her cheek in pain.
"Your pinches very pain leh, Gor!!" She complained.
"I already held back so deal with it," I commented, digging through my cupboard to toss a shirt over myself before heading into the bathroom to wash up.
In five minutes, I was ready to go and my sister was already waiting by the door, looking all excited to go.
We made sure the door was locked before we made our way out towards our destination.
It'll be a ten minute walk from here which was no big deal especially since we've made this trip plenty of times.
"Ehhh, so what we eating, Gor?" My sister asked, clinging to my arm like it's the most natural thing to do.
"Probably just Macs. Otherwise, what else do you want?"
"Ehehe~ That's fine too! We can get their breakfast~ It's always nice to--"
"Waahhh… Got another guy already ah, Hui Zhen?" Another voice interrupted from the side.
My sister suddenly tensed up like she recognised the voice and she quickly slipped her arm out of mine while looking down at her feet.
I have never seen my sister look like this before so this was definitely a surprise to me.
I turned in the direction of the voice to see a group of girls snickering in our direction as they walked by.
One of them shouted, "Remember to use protection hor! Better to be safe than sorry!"
They then walked away without waiting for a response.
I turned back to my sister, finding her absolutely silent and still looking down at her feet.
"What was that about? Who were they?" I asked.
She shook her head, "No one… Gor… It's ok, let's just go."
She tried to walk ahead and I placed my hand on her shoulder to stop her, "What's going on that you aren't telling me? Since when do you keep secrets from me?"
"Eh… Ehe… A girl always has her secrets, Gor… It's fine, it's nothing serious…"
I instantly realised what was going on and turned her around to face me, "Are you getting bullied? Blackmailed? Who the fuck are they?"
She opened her mouth and I think she considered lying about it again but stopped herself.
She probably realised that I already had an idea of what was going on and started talking again.
"They were… Some people I thought were my friends back in JC…"
"Your Junior College? The one you just graduated from?"
She nodded, "Ya… I told them some personal stuff and they used it to spread some bullshit around about me and backstabbed me… Nothing too serious lah… I just don't really like them after that… But they just keep rubbing it in my face when they see me…"
"What did you tell them?"
"It's… Not important… They just using it to shut me up and not be able to say anything when they spread stupid shit."
"What do they spread?"
"They say stuff like I use my ability to suck off the entire male basketball team or go out and slut myself with my clones."
What the fuck?
I cracked my knuckles, "Ok, I'll go have a talk with them."
Unexpectedly, my sister grabbed me by the arm and shook her head, "No! No!! You don't need to, Gor!! It's fine! I… I won't be seeing them anymore anyway! Once I go to university, I won't be seeing them anymore! You don't need to do that!"
I turned back to furrow my brows, "How long has this been happening?"
"U… Umm… About a year?"
"And you never told me?"
"It's… It's really no big deal… And like I said… I won't see them anymore…"
"The fact that they are here means they live around here as well. You might still run into them and they might make things worse for you if you still meet them. Just what could they have over you that will make you act like this? I remember you beating up others for even making fun of you before but this… You're just letting them mock you?"
She shook her head, "It's ok, Gor Gor… Let's just go ok? I'm hungry already…"
Tsk… So she won't tell me… Whatever… I can deal with this later.
