Skarg was silent for a while as he considered what Damon had said. Since Damon had already done his best, and he couldn't force Damon to do better, he had to be content with what he had been given.
So he nodded and said, "Good enough. Let's go."
But Damon shook his head and said, "I'm sorry, but I can't leave with you. I lost a lot of things that need to be rebuilt and replaced. I need to get on with replacing them as soon as possible, and they will take a long time."
"Let's do this. You go there and look around. If you don't find who you're looking for there, you can send for me. I'll come and help you make a better marker."
