Just as he said that, the star began to move. Its position was lowered as it descended from the sky.
It didn't descend in a slow, graceful manner, though. It came smashing down like a meteor, which scared Skarg.
Skarg's scalp began to tingle with danger. He wanted to run, but he realized that an invisible force was fixing him in place.
He also discovered that none of the human puppets could move. So not only was he unable to move, but even his slaves couldn't move him. So he was completely helpless in the face of the descent of the star.
Only Slav appeared to be able to move. But Slav didn't try to run. Slav only raised his hands to the sky with a look of confusion in his eyes.
This was the same kind of confusion that he experienced earlier in the test of the three rocks. The rules were saying something, but his guts were telling him something else.
