Raye and Al ran towards the clock tower while fending off beasts in their way. Al still being the cowardly man he was, hiding behind fallen debris and only protecting himself.
"We gotta change that cowardly self of yours Al,"
"I'm sorry Raye, it sort of become a habit after a while..."
"That's not an excuse, Al, you're a key member of our team, we will fall without you,"
"Alright I will try to change! Geez,"
Al looked at the ground and thought to himself:"Gosh I'm so weak, I'd be the useless one in the party if I can't do a single thing, get a hang of yourself Al, you're the priest of this party, your main focus is to protect everyone,".
"Don't be too hard on yourself Al, you will figure it out when time comes,"
"..."
Al then catches up to Raye and they continued running towards the clock tower.

"Can you still fly a little longer?"
"Don't worry about me, I can handle myself,"
Will and Aether high up in the air and looked down from above. The view of the kingdom high above is rather disturbing to see. Fire spreading everywhere from city to city.
"Now then, what do you plan to do, Will Beuratt?"
"Me? oh uh...I don't really know...I prefer fighting alone,"
"Well then, I guess you can settle the beasts yourself, and I will do something about this barrier,...well, not with unexpected guest keep arriving,"
A portal was casted and many beasts started descending from it.
"Well then, Will Beuratt, how do you plan to stop those beasts?"
Will then casted a shadow portal acting as an item bag and pulled out a morning star. He then raised his morning star and pointed it onto a beast and say:
"We fight,"
"I like that plan,"
Aether casted an ice sword and nullified 10 meter radius in the sky and they started attacking together.
Aether slashes the beasts in half while Will kills them by smashing his morning star onto the beast's head. The reason that Will chose morning star is primarily back then during the demon king era, knights are usually sent to explore and try to take down the demon king and morning star is the perfect counter against knight.
A beast tries to sneak an attack from behind but Will blocked it by destroying its sword with the morning star. That beast was in shock as Will killed him and went on to the others.
"You surprised me as a mage, using a staff and a melee weapon for your style,"
"Melee weapon suits me better,"
"interesting, not that it's rare to see mages use melee weapon rather than stuff,"
More and more beasts come out from the portal. Suddenly, a large scythe almost slashes Will but he barely dodges it. Will retaliate by swinging his morning star backward as the attacker dodges it. Will looked behind and saw a girl in a red cloak same as the SUN Cultist. She has a short teal hair and she covers her head with the hood of the cloak. The girl then slashes her scythe again and Will parried it with his morning star. The girl then swings the large scythe with full strength which Will barely parried it which comes another strike that sends Will onto the ground. Aether looked backward to see Will and was caught off guard by one of the beast.

Aether was sent crashing onto the ground. The city that Aether was surrounded by guards and knights. They pointed their weapons at Aether but Aether just raised his arm and signaled them to put it down. He dusts off his clothes and stretches his back.
"W-wait, are you the Perfect Mage?"
"That I am,"
He looked up at the sky and saw a legion of beasts floating up in the air. And that was just that part of the city. This whole kingdom might be more than just a legion of beasts...

Raye and Al have arrived at the gates of the clock tower.
"Alright Al, are you ready?"
"Doesn't matter, the fear is hard to get rid off, let just get going,"
They entered the clock tower and are about to face their doom.
