Racine's gonna die.
His gonna die and no one is coming.
Knowing he can't overpowered the Undead Racine Pulled on it instead towards the left and its body collapsed on the sudden shift, Racine rolled his body to the side.
He wasn't even able to sat up before another Undead hurl itself towards him.
Racine's whole vision blurred as he ducked letting the two Undead slam against each other.
Racine scurried away, stumbling a few times, his whole body mostly his side and legs ache yet he didn't care.
Hearing his literal heartbeat in his ears and panting like a dog he ran off to wherever his legs could take him.
Aimless like he always had been.
It was only when Racine found himself in a deep wilderness with nothing in sight during sunset that he decided to finally rest.
Of course not after climbing up the highest tree he could find even almost falling on the process.
Thankfully the lotion did come in handy for insects that could pester him, Racine felt sore all over, his legs feeling like it's getting pricked by thousand needles, being electrified and then being numb down.
Still Racine didn't considered everything finished until he tied himself on to the tree to avoid falling in his sleep.
With the sound of nature on the background Racine felt a bit comfortable. After all it would be a huge flag if in the deep woods no sounds appeared.
Racine went out like a light.
...
Racine then woke up feeling worse than before, unable to even move and deciding to drift off to sleep once more.
Then the next day.
"Are you dead?" Racine jolt awake to the sound his hand already positioned on the rope ready to be pulled lose.
Bougainvillea flowers.
That Damned Bougainvillea Flowers!
Racine despite only seeing a glimpse could recognize the reason of his predicament. If this woman and her fellow awakeners had not pulled the horde towards the cemetery he could have hid there much more longer.
Racine glared at the owner of the voice. A Female Awakener who despite the clear danger of [Undead] Wore a black slit dress revealing, her hair down low.
"Did you just glare at me? That's very rude" She said and with a snap of her finger bougainvillea vines started to wrap around Racine.
"Why are you speaking so much" Racine whispered towards the woman, His eyes scanning around everywhere for any undead.
"Don't worry too much" The Woman spoke, "My name is Cristina by the way" Using her vines Cristina pulled the rope securing Racine to the tree branch loose.
Cristina then proceed to help Racine down with her vines as a stepping platform.
"We been looking for you everywhere you know" Cristina said in this thin voice that irritatingly sounds like she was drunk on helium.
"Is it really him? The guy with Healing powers?" A guy spoke behind Cristina following behind him was three more people, two men and another woman.
"Look at the clothes he was wearing its the same thing" One of the men the youngest one pointed to Racine, He then proceed to bow down in front of Racine, "Thank you so much for helping me that time and I'm so sorry I smacked you"
Racine nod his head.
He did not understand what was going on but okay.
Did they mistook him for someone?
His not an awakener. So How come he would get an ability to heal others?
His eyes scanned the group from head to toe before deciding.
"Looking for me?" Racine muttered to the group, "I'm afraid my ability wasn't exactly healing"
"Huh?" The oldest man of the group questioned, "Could it be your ability was more of like probability like mine"
Racine placed a hand on his shoulder, shrinking himself as little as possible, "Maybe"
"Well, That sucks" Cristina then proceed to wrap her arm around Racine's already strained left shoulder a side of her bosom touching pressing on Racine's shoulder.
Racine felt his body hair rose.
"My name is Racine" Racine gently put some distance between him and Cristina.
The woman who had remained quiet since earlier spoke, "My name is Ellaine" She pointed at the oldest, "Bob" Then at the youngest, "Juan" and Lastly to the man who only stood in silence his dark eyes staring intently towards Racine, "Alex"
"Now How about we found a better place to go. I could sense some Undead walking towards this direction" Bob said and the rest of the group followed.
If Racine had not been so thirsty, hungry and exhausted he would have been showing so much surprise at his current predicament.
Sitting down on a flying jeepney was not exactly on his bingo list for this year.
Looking at the Water Bottle on his hand Racine pretended to took a sip before closing it back again, He then proceed to remain cautious as the group chattered among themselves.
Somehow they seem to think he was an awakener and a healer type. That might be exactly the reason why they treat him kindly right now.
That's why even if it meant lying, Racine didn't exactly deny their assumptions.
Somehow using the already made assumptions the group had made to conjure a narrative was quite easy.
After all they themselves come up with those assumptions that means doubting it would mean doubting their own judgements.
Mind after all is very fickle. With small contents of information it easily fill in the gaps and considered it a 'truth' in itself.
