Brianna stared furiously at Lucian, then at the ceiling. She was seriously considering pushing him off and making a run for it when he suddenly pulled away.
"Today is still our anniversary. What do you want to do?"
Squeezing her eyes shut, she spoke through gritted teeth. "What do I want to do? I want to move into another bed. I don't feel comfortable sharing this one with you."
The bed wasn't too small for two people of their size, but Brianna hated the idea of sharing a bed with him. She hoped that would knock some sense into his concussed brain, however, Lucian remained genuinely confused.
"Why? This bed is big enough for us. Are you worried about... other things?"
"I just don't feel comfortable sharing a bed with you, Lucian. Period."
"But we shared at the motel," he reminded her, grazing his thumb on her lower lip.
