The merchant caravan stretched across the dusty road like a mechanical serpent, its dozens of wagons and transport vehicles creating a procession that wound through the varied landscapes of the Nether Realm.
Rey sat atop one of the middle wagons, his appearance completely transformed from the teenager who'd escaped the crater three months ago.
He now appeared as a young man in his early twenties, with sandy brown hair and deep black eyes that marked him as a common Nether citizen rather than a Cursed One. The transformation had been achieved through a careful combination of minor Artifacts, and alchemical treatments to subtly alter his features on a semi-permanent basis.
His new identity was "Ciel Varen."
