Rey's legs burned with exhaustion as he forced himself forward through the ancient corridors, his enhanced perception barely functional under the oppressive Chaos Energy that saturated the Labyrinth's depths.
Behind him, the mystical signatures of pursuing Chaos Dwellers grew stronger—they were closing the distance despite his desperate flight.
'Fifteen percent Ether,' Rey calculated grimly, checking his reserves. 'Maybe enough for three or four Mid-Sequence Techniques, or a dozen Low-Sequence ones. After that, I'm defenseless.'
The narrow corridor opened into a larger chamber, and Rey's enhanced perception detected multiple passages branching off in different directions.
He chose the central path without hesitation, hoping it would lead deeper into the Labyrinth and away from the concentrated horde behind him.
