Fu Teng did not say anything more after agreeing. He only turned and went back inside briefly, returning not long after with a simple outer robe draped properly over his shoulders.
He did not carry much.
There was no need.
An Yu waited by the side of the carriage without urging him, his posture calm as if he already knew Fu Teng would follow.
When Fu Teng stepped out again, he walked straight toward him.
"I will return later," he said to the family.
Master Fu nodded.
"Go and learn properly," he replied.
Madame Fu added quietly, "Take care of yourself."
Fu Teng gave a small nod.
His gaze shifted briefly across the courtyard, then stopped for a moment before he looked away again.
I watched him.
There was no hesitation in his steps this time.
Whatever had made him agree—
He had already decided.
Without another word, he followed An Yu toward the carriage.
