Shuu opened the door to his and Kaiden's room and two blurs immediately rushed toward him and grabbed his legs.
"Mother, are you alright? Are you feeling better now? You won't disappear anywhere else, right?"
Shuu felt startled by the sudden attack, but then he looked down and noticed the pair of innocent eyes looking back at him. He blinked and felt his heart softening as he wrapped his arms around the kids.
"I am fine. I won't be going anywhere else. Did you two behave yourselves for Kaiden?"
Caelis immediately looked around, showing that he had not done a single thing Shuu had asked of him. But Shuu did not feel disappointed.
Rather, he felt glad that he had someone to welcome him back.
But the danger this world was in was still present and Shuu felt a little burdened by it, especially after a good chunk of his memory had returned.
Kaiden noticed the expression on his face and he immediately put his hand over Shuu's eyes to make sure his face was hidden from sight.
