Chapter 20 - The Lonely Housewife (Part 2)

Tension was rising, and we heard quietly yet intimidating footsteps walking through the apartment.

"Hyunjoo!" He yell. "Where is she?"

He opens the bedroom door.

We both flinched. We both cover our mouths with our hands, looking through the little opening in the closet.

Miss Choi's husband walks around the bedroom aimlessly.

"Mmmm?" he stopped. "Hyunjoo usually doesn't eat leftovers, especially curry."

"So who would have…*gasp*." He paused for a brief moment; the closet became really hot. Sweat was pouring down our skin. I was unaware that my arm was touching Miss Choi's milk jugs, and I felt her heart moving at Mach 10.

I try to reposition myself.

CRACK

(Ah shit.) It seems like I accidentally broke a small object on the floor in the closet, Miss Choi's husband quickly noticed and looked at the closet door.

He begins reaching his hands out towards the closet door.

We were both afraid, frightened.

At that moment he will find this out, and our lives will be ruined.

His hand was almost reaching the handle.

RING

But suddenly, he was getting a ring from his phone. He put his phone out of his pocket and answered it.

"Hello?" he said. "Kim? What do you need?" It seems like he is speaking to a woman on his phone.

"But I'm already home right now, I can't come over."

"Why? Because my wife will be suspicious of us."

When these words left his mouth I slowly turned my head towards Miss Choi, and she was visibly shaking.

"What do you mean she has no idea? You decided to leave a hickey on my neck and she almost saw it, so I had to yell at her." We continue to stay quiet as he continues to have a conversation with the woman on this phone.

"Huh? Do I love her?"

Everything was just dead silence at this very moment, Miss Choi took a deep breath.

"No, of course not."

I looked at Miss Choi, whose shaking begins to intensify, and she begins to grip her pants really tightly.

"I only married her because my parents forced me to there is no love involved in our marriage at all."

Each word that left his mouth seems like a bullet aiming at Miss Choi and the ten years that they were together.

"Alright fine, I'll come." he left the bedroom closest door behind him, and we her footsteps fading away into the distance.

It was quiet not one of us spoke a single word.

Just dead silence.

I looked to the corner of my eyes, and I saw Miss Choi quietly crying, trying her hardest not to let everything out.

"Miss Choi, it's okay I'm here—" But suddenly she begins to hug me.

"W-What was e-everything for…"

"T-Ten years, *sniff* ten years of what?"

She begins bawling her eyes out uncontrollably, there's nothing I can do at this moment, I just have to sit and let her pour everything out, I hug this woman tightly as I can.

"Are you alright Miss Choi?"

"*Sniff* Y-Yes."

We left the closet and we sat on the bed.

"Good, you were crying for at least fifteen minutes."

"S-Shaddup." As she wiped her dry eyes.

"Sorry." She said.

"Mmm? For what?"

"You know, for being an awful woman." She pouts.

"Hehe, it's fine Miss Choi, I'm just happy to be here with you." I give her a graceful smile. Miss Choi instantly blushed and immediately tried to hide her face.

"Heh, thank you, Park."

"Sorry for causing you so much trouble, you can leave if you want." As she was about to leave the room, with no hesitation I grabbed her arm.

"Miss Choi, what you experienced earlier was heartbreaking, hearing the people that you love secretly say that they never love to begin with is painful, and you still looked sad." I tighten my grip. "I-I want to hang out with you more, I'll stand by your side until you feel better." My face was embarrassed, and I tried to hide my reddened face.

Miss Choi began to blush too.

"T-Thank you, Park, maybe we can watch a movie if you like." She said nervously.

"Y-Yes I don't mind," I said joyfully.

I got up and we both walked to the living room.

Park and I sat on the living room couch and turned on the TV.

"Wow, this is a really nice TV," Park said. "You got a lot of TV programs too."

Park switched to a different program on the TV.

"Miss Choi, have you watched White Chicks?"

"No I haven't, what is it about?"

"It's about these two guys going undercover as white girls to arrest this criminal. It's a really funny movie."

He continues explaining the movie, and he looks so happy doing it.

(heh, he looks so cute❤️)

My husband and I never watched a movie before so this would be the first time watching a movie with a man.

I insanely blush after realizing what we are doing.

(T-This is like a home date. Why am I blushing over a guy who's ten years younger than me?)

"Ah, I found it" Park found the movie and began playing it.

"Are you ready Miss Choi?" as he smiled like a kid."

"Y-Yes" I nervously replied.

The movie began to play but I couldn't help but secretly stare at Park's overexcited face, as I kept looking my heart began to beat rapidly.

"Mmm? Is something wrong?" Park asks.

"N-No, nothing."

I couldn't help but ask.

I think I'm in love with Park.
