Now I had come out of the pit and reached above, but seeing the sight here I became completely stunned. The sounds of fighting which some time ago were coming down to the pit had now become completely silent. Neither Helena was there nor Historia; don't know where but both of them had suddenly disappeared somewhere. I turned my eyes all around and looked, everything there was looking normal, except the marks of dragging on the ground and the hollows which had been formed in the ground during the fight itself.
But one thing was very strange—the shed door of the factory workshop had closed again. This was the same door from which some time ago countless Shadow Tentacles of shadows were coming out and striking at us. I was not able to understand what all actually happened here after my fall into the pit.
Even though the circumstances were mysterious, at least I succeeded in coming out of that pit. I had killed those Undead by burning them with the help of a dangerous 'Thunder Strike'. But then I stopped and then I thought, anyway, 'killing' would not be the right word for them because they were already dead; I just completely finished their that dead body.
My plan had worked completely and due to that itself I was able to come out of the pit. Actually, my plan was very simple. I had already seen that the clouds in the sky above the factory are quite thick and black, which meant that electricity would be present in them. I took advantage of this situation and summoned 'Heater' inside the pit so that he could control all the Undead in one single place.
The biggest reason for this was that despite having black clouds above, the possibility of a Thunder Strike happening was only 50%. But even this was not the biggest problem for me; the biggest challenge was that to execute a dangerous attack like Thunder Strike, a lot of 'Aurum' is needed. If I repeatedly tried to make lightning fall and it didn't work, then my Aurum would go to waste. And I didn't think that I am so capable at 'Sequence 1' that I could use so much Aurum all at once. But still, where would so much Aurum finally come from for me.
But then right here Heater came to my use. I had told him to hold those Undead by sticking them to one side so that I could settle all of them in a single Thunder Strike. But my real plan was something else; I wanted to break that steep and straight wall of soil of the pit with the help of that lightning. And this move of mine sat exactly right. The Thunder Strike did finish those Undead, along with that, it collapsed that slippery straight wall and changed it into the form of a slope, with the support of which I came out easily.
Despite being drenched in dust and sweat, my mind was restless and a fierce whirlwind of questions was running in the brain. Seeing that desolate and empty ground in front of my eyes, I thought that perhaps now I alone will have to find them, because there even their shadow was not visible as far as the eye could see.
A thought came to my mind that it could be that Helena and Historia would have become completely troubled while fighting those tentacles. The attack of those black shadows was so continuous and tiring that anyone's patience could give up. Due to which perhaps they would be trying to directly catch the user of those tentacles itself, so that they could finish the root of this fight itself and this fight does not stretch any longer. To attack the main center of an enemy could be their strategy.
But just then a question came to my mind—but how can it be that Historia would leave me in this trouble and go somewhere? She who always stood as my shield, she would leave me in that pit and move forward, this thing was completely impossible. As much as I know Historia, she will never do such a thing. She will not leave my side like this. The direct meaning of this was that if she is missing, then she is stuck in some very big trouble, and now I alone will have to save them as soon as possible.
That part of the factory was now looking like a scary dream, after talking to myself in a low voice, now I was completely ready to find them. I felt the remaining energy of my Aurum. And I thought that perhaps they would be present inside that same workshop shed, because some time ago that itself was the center from where all the tentacles were taking birth.
And then I thought this much and moved my strong steps forward toward that side, where that heavy and iron door of the workshop stood.
Moving steps slowly and carefully, I reached near the shed of the workshop while walking. The silence there was so deep that even the sound of my shoes was echoing. And in big letters above its door 'WORKSHOP' was written. But I did not go near the door of its big shed, but instead went near the broken windows installed in its edges. My brain was working fast; because if I went directly inside then I would just become an easy prey, after which I myself might need help. That woman could take advantage of the darkness, and I did not want to give her this chance.
Therefore I went from the edge and then tried to peep inside from a broken window present there. As soon as I put my head near the window, I realized that there was quite thick darkness inside. My eyes were trying to find something in that blackness, but even then only the shadows of things kept nearby inside were being visible. The strange thing was that those shadows were looking more like shelves and boxes of packed goods than machines. Which was a strange thing for a workshop, because in a workshop there are machines and not scrap-like boxes and shelves of packed goods. Doubt arose in my mind, but perhaps this factory is closed, yet it could be that the owner of this factory still uses this place.
Anyway, it was not the time to think all this. Because right now Helena and Historia were stuck in some danger. I turned my eyes all around from the window; everything there was like desolate and drowned in darkness. Where as far as the end nothing was being known. But THEN I finally made the dangerous decision to go inside the workshop.
But before stepping inside I made my safety firm. I took out my gun, after which I fully loaded it with the remaining 6 bullets. That sound of metal clashing felt very heavy in the silence. I saw my deck of cards, inside which 43 cards were still left. My magical power and gunpowder, both were now ready.
After setting everything right, I entered inside the factory workshop through that same window. As soon as the shoes landed on the ground, a cold shiver ran through my body. There was perhaps going to be a lot of danger inside, but I knew my mission; I had to find Helena and Historia and get out of the workshop.
My biggest challenge was that kidnapper woman. That kidnapper woman is more expert and more powerful than us in fighting in the dark. And the reason behind this was told to me by Vyuk while giving a warning for the last time that that woman is from the 'Void Pathway'. And Void Pathway meant—her grip on darkness and zero, which makes her a danger for us in the depths of this workshop.
Piercing that heavy silence of the workshop, I was now inside its endless darkness. Such a heap of goods was placed all around that it was not possible to see. High scraps and heavy-duty boxes were loaded on top of each other in such a way that the entire workshop had turned into the narrow and scary lanes of a city. Without any source of light, finding a way in that maze was like descending into a blind well.
Fortunately, being a 'Sequence 1 Thunder Nature Paragon', a subtle electrical glow was present in my eyes. Because of this magical effect, the darkness was not completely impenetrable for me; I was able to see blurry shapes. Even so, a pang arose in some corner of the mind—if at this time I had some lantern, or Helena's that 'Tiny Flame' ability was along, then perhaps this task would not be so difficult. But it was not the time to regret; on the strength of the means which were near, I had to get out of this.
I was just moving forward while making a path from between these heaps of goods when suddenly electricity ran through my nerves. From a turn in front, a ray of milky white light was bursting. That glow was quite less, but at the same time, it had given a blurry clarity to every obstruction coming in the way. My heart began to beat loudly—was this some trap or my destination?
Without wasting even a single moment, I ran toward that turn with full speed. As soon as I reached that turn and turned fast, the sight that emerged before my eyes, I became completely stunned seeing it.
