Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: Void Breathing Technique

"First Form, Eternal Winter Blizzard!"

"Second Form, Eternal Spring Breeze!"

"Forth Form, Eternal Autumn Gale!"

Karna's voice rang out with each successive attack, each one a display of his mastery over his unique techniques. The battlefield was transformed with each form, embodying the essence of the seasons themselves.

Bhishma's skill was evident as he deflected, parried, and dodged each attack, his movements a testament to his years of experience.

Scáthach watched with a mixture of fascination and admiration as the battle between the two warriors continued to unfold. The clash of their techniques created a symphony of power and skill, each move calculated and precise.

"You are an amazing Karna, Being at transcendence level swordsmanship at such an age. But if this is your all then you still have much to learn," Bhishma's voice rang out, interrupting the flow of Karna's attacks. In a swift motion, Bhishma lunged forward with renewed intensity, his strikes a blur of motion as he aimed to break through Karna's defences.

"Void Steps!"

Karna muttered, and suddenly his form seemed to blur and waver, creating multiple afterimages that confounded Bhishma's strikes. Karna's movements became a dance of elusiveness, each step a calculated evasion that showcased his exceptional agility.

Bhishma's strikes met empty air as Karna effortlessly dodged and weaved through the onslaught. The clash of their skills reached a new level, their movements a dazzling display of speed and precision. As Bhishma's attacks continued to be evaded, a hint of frustration crept into his expression.

Scáthach's eyes widened in admiration as she observed Karna's technique. The Void Steps were a demonstration of not only physical prowess but also a deep understanding of spatial manipulation. Karna's ability to manipulate his position in such a way was a testament to his mastery over his abilities.

"Void Breathing, First Form: Blind Faith!"

Karna's voice resounded through the air as he initiated his technique by pouring a massive amount of yogic prana into it-

[Ding! Congratulations host for the breakthrough to Demi-God Level Swordsmanship]

Suddenly a huge storm of sword intent started coming from Karna's body as if the very air around him had transformed into an extension of his blade. The storm of sword intent swept through the battlefield, creating a palpable pressure that bore down on everything in its path.

Bhishma's eyes widened as he felt the intensity of Karna's attack, the sheer power of the sword intent leaving an indelible impact.

With an explosive burst of speed, Karna closed the distance between him and Bhishma in an instant. His blade moved with a precision and force that seemed almost supernatural, each strike carrying the weight of his conviction and newly attained Demi-God Level Swordsmanship.

Bhishma's form blurred as he responded to Karna's assault, his sword meeting each strike with impeccable timing. The clash of their swords created sparks that illuminated the battlefield, the power of their blows sending shockwaves through the air.

As the storm of sword intent raged around them, Scáthach's eyes widened with awe. The level of swordsmanship on display was beyond anything she had witnessed before, a true testament to the dedication and skill of these two warriors.

She could sense the immense power resonating from Karna's attacks, each strike imbued with his determination and newly awakened abilities.

"Now prepare yourself Mahamahim, This time I will use my strongest attack."

Right after this, A divine-looking golden armour started forming around Karna's body, Taking a deep breath Karna forced all his remaining yogic prana into-

"Void Breathing, Third Form: Emphasis on a Black Storm!!!"

Karna's voice thundered across the battlefield as he unleashed his most potent attack yet. The divine golden armour that enveloped his body seemed to shimmer and pulse with power, amplifying his already formidable presence. The storm of sword intent around him intensified, swirling with dark energy that seemed to distort the very fabric of reality.

The air crackled with anticipation as Karna's blade descended with incredible speed, carrying the full force of his Demi-God Level Swordsmanship and the overwhelming power of his Void Breathing technique. The ground trembled beneath them as the blade cleaved through space itself, creating a rift that crackled with black lightning.

"STOP!!!"

A terrified feminine voice echoed through the battlefield, cutting through the tension like a knife. The voice belonged to none other than Goddess Ganga who rushed here after sensing fatal danger for her son's life.

The moment Ganga's voice resounded, a surge of divine energy enveloped the battlefield, creating a barrier that surrounded Karna's attack. The attack, still crackling with dark energy and incredible power, slowed down as it met the resistance of the divine barrier.

Ganga's form appeared before Karna and Bhishma, her presence radiating authority and concern. Her eyes blazed with a mixture of anger and fear as she addressed Karna. "Enough, Karna disperse this attack hurry! I can't hold this for long."

Karna's eyes widened as he quickly understood the gravity of the situation. With a swift motion, he dispelled the divine armour around him, releasing the power he had gathered for his attack. The storm of sword intent dissipated, and the crackling energy that surrounded his blade faded away.

The sudden release of energy caused a shockwave that rippled through the area, sending dust and debris scattering in all directions. The battlefield was left in a state of tense stillness, the echoes of the powerful attack resonating in the air.

Bhishma and Karna lowered their weapons, their breathing heavy as they exchanged a glance filled with a mix of exhaustion and understanding. The battle had come to an abrupt halt, the intervention of Goddess Ganga preventing the devastating outcome that seemed inevitable.

Ganga's gaze shifted between the two warriors, her expression a mixture of relief and concern. "You both could have caused irreversible damage to not only yourselves but also to the land and those around you. This is not the path I wish for either of you to take."

Karna's gaze held a mixture of regret and respect as he addressed Ganga. "Lad-"

"MOTHER! Call me 'MOTHER'~" Ganga's voice held a hint of playfulness, her stern expression softening as she addressed Karna. "You must understand, my son, that there are ways to resolve conflicts that don't involve such destructive means."

Karna can bet his kidneys that he saw a flicker of expression on Goddess Ganga which he saw many times on his Radha Maa's face ie. Yandere.

Her playful yet protective demeanor reminding him of the complex relationship he shared with his foster mother, Radha Maa. There was a deep affection mixed with a touch of possessiveness, a connection that transcended simple labels.

Bhishma was looking at their exchange with a complicated expression. Ganga's attention and familiarity with Karna were quite evident, and it highlighted the stark contrast between his relationship with her. Bhishma's gaze shifted from Ganga to Karna, a mixture of curiosity and uncertainty in his eyes.

"Mother, why are you calling Karna your son?" Bhishma's voice held a note of confusion as he looked between Ganga and Karna. The sudden revelation of their connection seemed to have caught him off guard.

Ganga's gaze softened as she turned to Bhishma, her expression a mixture of warmth and seriousness. "Bhishma, there are certain connections that go beyond blood ties. Karna is a soul I have watched over and guided since his birth. He holds a special place in my heart."

Bhishma's brows furrowed as he tried to process this information. "But why keep this hidden for so long? Why not reveal this truth earlier?"

Ganga's gaze held a hint of sadness as she explained, "Bhishma, you must understand that there are forces beyond our control that have influenced the paths we tread. There were reasons why I couldn't openly reveal the truth of Karna's lineage, even to him. Atleast his mother."

"Because even I don't who is his father, But one thing is clear his father is 'dev'." Ganga's voice carried a mysterious weight as she uttered these words.

The term 'dev' alluded to a deity or celestial being, further shrouding Karna's true lineage in enigma. Bhishma's confusion deepened, his mind grappling with the implications of Ganga's revelation.

Bhishma's eyes bore into Ganga, seeking answers that perhaps even she couldn't provide. "If you have watched over Karna since his birth, does that mean his destiny was shaped by you?" His voice wavered with a mixture of awe and trepidation.

Ganga nodded slowly, her gaze steady. "Yes, to some extent. The threads of fate are intricate and woven by many hands, mortal and divine alike. I have played a role in guiding Karna's path, but there are forces even I must reckon with."

..

"Then I should take my leave now," Bhishma's voice held a hint of resignation as he bowed slightly before Ganga and then turned to Karna. "Karna, you have proven yourself to be an exceptional warrior. May your path be guided by the right choices."

Karna nodded respectfully to Bhishma, acknowledging the words of the seasoned warrior. "Thank you, Mahamahim Bhishma. Your guidance and challenges have been invaluable."

With that, Bhishma turned and began to walk away from the battlefield, his steps heavy with contemplation. Scáthach, who had been a silent observer throughout the exchange, exchanged a nod with Karna before also departing to give them space.

Just after everyone left Goddess Ganga with speed unseen before hugged Karna.

"Karna, MY son," Ganga's voice carried a mixture of emotions as she held Karna close in a tight embrace. Her touch was both comforting and overwhelming, a reminder of the complex relationship they shared.

Karna's arms hesitated for a moment before he wrapped them around Ganga in return. He felt a flood of emotions well up within him, a sense of connection and longing that he had never fully understood until this moment. "Mother..."
