The Duke of Fear had asked for all the Disciples to send representatives to him as soon as we could.
I sent the only person I could spare—Crav.
But the more I thought of the visit to the cave, the more I wondered if I shouldn't pay a visit myself.
"You do not trust Cravenne's articulation skills?"
"You know I do not." I dropped the glass on the table. He might space out while the Duke spoke of an important matter that I had to engage in.
However, I couldn't spare Janeya going that far. Johan's health was better, but he was not stable enough to take over his usual roles.
Janeya was still more efficient. Cravenne was yet to gain my trust. "Come in." I told the guard who had just come to my door.
These days, he never knocks, as he expects me to notice. He walked in with files, and from their colour codes, I could tell they were reports related to my region.
