Chapter 507 - Heart Decision

Although Bibi Dong was extremely weak, the aura of an elder in her demeanor made it seem as if she was the superior, suppressing Qian Renxue and making Qian Renxue's face turn ashen with anger:

"I know what I'm doing, you don't need to teach me."

There was a sharp edge in her tone, but more than that, it carried the calm confidence of someone who had already seen further ahead. Even in her weakened state, her presence did not diminish—it only became more condensed, like pressure being compressed rather than released.

When she came to her senses and slightly replayed Bibi Dong's words, she widened her eyes and looked at Bibi Dong, but dared not speak directly:

"Bibi Dong, what do you mean? What does 'a teacher for a day is a father for life' mean? You... you?"

Her voice faltered at the end.

If it were anyone else saying this, Qian Renxue wouldn't think much of it, but since it was Bibi Dong, she couldn't help but speculate a bit more. There was something about her tone—too certain, too personal, too strangely affectionate toward Teacher Xin—that made the words land differently than they should have.

Bibi Dong did not answer Qian Renxue's words, but merely curled her lips into a casual smile, displaying her triumph to the fullest, which angered Qian Renxue so much that she stormed out of the room on the spot.

The smile was faint, but deliberate—like someone quietly winning an argument without needing to continue it. That silent confidence only made Qian Renxue's frustration deepen as she turned and left, her steps heavy with suppressed anger.

"Teacher, you really are something. You're already so weak, yet you still argue with Senior Sister Xue'er. Never mind not angering her, it's not good for your own body to get angry either."

Hu Liena tried to smooth things over, gently blowing on the warm soup and feeding it to Bibi Dong's mouth. Her movements were careful, almost overly attentive, as though afraid even a slight disturbance might worsen her teacher's condition.

Bibi Dong took another sip. The warmth spread through her body, stabilizing her weakened meridians. Her jade hand, almost absentmindedly, rested near her lower abdomen for a moment.

A quiet thought surfaced in her mind:

If I were to have Teacher Xin's child this time, and give this girl a younger brother, that would be truly infuriating.

A faint, unreadable smile passed across her face before she returned to a calm expression, as if the thought had never existed at all.

"Supreme Pontiff, this is the Yearning Heartbroken Red. It was agreed beforehand that it would be for your use. Please take it."

After Ning Rongrong and Qian Renxue had all exited, Xiao Wu slowly walked in from behind. Carefully, she took out the strikingly vibrant red flower from her embrace and presented it to Bibi Dong.

The flower was unlike ordinary spiritual herbs. It seemed almost alive, its petals trembling faintly as if responding to emotional resonance rather than physical wind. Even before being fully released, it carried an intense, almost sorrowful aura.

No matter how many grievances there were before, Teacher had already decided to revive her mother. Although her mother was still in soul form, Xiao Wu could feel it clearly—it was indeed her mother's aura. One day, she would truly return.

Because of that promise, the resentment she once held had softened. It had not vanished completely, but it no longer controlled her actions.

Since Bibi Dong was willing to return her mother's power, she should also let go of this grievance and be a little nicer to this woman.

"No need, Xiao Wu. Put the Yearning Heartbroken Red away. I don't need it anymore."

Bibi Dong watched the flower quietly, but merely smiled faintly and refused.

Her rejection was calm, almost final, without hesitation or regret.

Xiao Wu was a little surprised:

"Didn't you say before that you needed the Yearning Heartbroken Red? Why now...?"

Bibi Dong said lightly, "Before, I really wanted to use it to verify something, but now, I no longer need it. I believe you need it more than I do."

"Ah?"

Hearing this, Xiao Wu was a little confused.

What does this mean? Why, does she not need it now?
