Chapter 9 - On the Edge of Yin and Yang

Ni Ni Layan fell into an incredibly deep sleep right before Morse's eyes, lying stretched out on the ground, naked as usual. He kept stealing glances at her, only to avert his eyes quickly, as if someone might catch him staring at the slender, naked body lying before him.

He tried to distance himself and avert his gaze, but his eyes were drawn almost involuntarily to that sleeping beauty. Suddenly, his lust intensified once again.

"Damn it, there's no other way."

Morse quickly stripped off his pants and approached Ni Ni Layan's sleeping form. His "little brother" began to jump with excitement, as if there would never be a better opportunity. Morse's breaths quickened, his heart pounding with anticipation. Then, suddenly...

He began to masturbate, captivated by the magnificent sight of Ni Ni Layan's body.

"How I wish I were castrated!"

Damn all eunuchs! He certainly didn't want to lose his "little brother," but these desires pushed him closer to the edge of the abyss every single time.

If he ever seriously fell into a relationship with this undisciplined Phoenix... she would suck him completely dry of his Yang energy, and he would drop dead instantly.

To avoid such a lethal fate...

"Oh... Oh... I'll let them out on this porcelain body of yours."

It was more than just masturbation.

As he looked at the white fluid that had escaped him and landed on Ni Ni Layan's body, Morse felt a sudden surge of dread—terrified that she might wake up and find herself covered in his semen.

He rushed out of the cave, desperate to find some water to clean her body before it was too late.

While a panicked Morse was searching for a solution, deep within Ni Ni Layan's subconscious, she was fighting with every ounce of her spiritual energy to expel this foreign power from her body. This energy had begun to toy with her essence, altering her very foundations. She felt a sense of true, imminent danger; the incoming power was an invasion of Yin energy unlike anything she had encountered in her long life.

It was bone-chillingly cold—like an eternal frost that could freeze time itself. She had not yet regained her full strength; if the core of her being were to be rewritten now, would she ever be able to reclaim her power? At her roots, she belonged to the Sun Phoenix lineage; Yang flowed through her very soul. Even if she tried to pivot her entire cultivation path toward Yin, she shouldn't be able to—her body should only accept a minuscule fraction, or reject it entirely.

Yet, mysteriously, her body showed no resistance. It was as if her cells were welcoming this energy. It wasn't merely Yin... it was something far superior. Something that resonated with the same primordial authority she had felt from that man who once saved her.

Could she truly achieve her goal with this power... even if it were Yin?

Even though her goal was unrealistic... and despite knowing she was selling herself an illusion, she felt that if she were truly to surpass everyone, this man she had met could be the one to help her.

But...

There was no "but." Her spiritual consciousness was suddenly and completely submerged by this flood of energy. But wait—what was this?

The Heavenly Phoenix Heart from her past life began to stir once more... a counter-tide of sweeping Yang energy. Yet, despite all of this, the Yin power that had entered her continued to play around with total ease.

Suddenly, her powers from her previous life began to return prematurely. They returned early to protect her body from the invasion of this foreign Yin energy. Everything from her past life surged back as a shield—the Phoenix's natural immunity to Yin. But this new energy didn't even look back; it froze them all as if they were nothing.

The Phoenix Yang energy began to lose... a humiliating defeat. The Yang energy began to rage like a beast; there was only one thought now—she needed more Yang to maintain her identity as a Phoenix.

She forced her heavy eyes open.

The pain was excruciating. She needed the strongest nearby source of Yang; she felt weak, yet consumed by a desperate lust for Yang energy.

Gasping for air, she felt it... dense clusters of Yang right on her body. Looking down at her chest, she found a thick white fluid carrying an unparalleled Yang aura.

"Did he leave it because he knew I would be in this state?"

It seemed he knew she would fall into this dilemma soon... so he left his energy-laden fluid for her.

This white liquid was her only solution to regain her stability as a Phoenix. Slowly, she began to wipe the white fluid, placing it in her mouth, tasting the sweetness of the Yang energy as it surged through her.

"So delicious..."

She had finished most of it before even fully savoring it. But with the last few drops, she had another idea. With her finger coated in the white fluid, she began to mischievouslly smear the walls of her vagina, finally feeling her essence stabilize.

Finally, she felt a sense of relief... but this Yin energy had not been entirely defeated. Instead, it had invaded her meridians and begun to rewire them.

As she was smearing the walls of her vagina with the white fluid...

Suddenly, the door burst open. Morse appeared, clutching a bucket of water. He was panting heavily, having run all that distance carrying a full load of water.

But when he returned, the sight before him left him paralyzed. There was Ni Ni Layan... taking his white fluid and rubbing it into her vagina.

"Thank you for this gift... if it weren't for you, I would have been in a terrible state."

Why does this girl have to make everything so strange?

"No problem... the most important thing is that you're alright. I brought some water... would you like to bathe?"

Even though you've already wiped everything away.

In the bodies of Sun Phoenixes, Yin energy must exist only in a tiny proportion; if that ratio increases in any way, she would cease to be a Phoenix.

All Sun Phoenixes require a bit of Yin to achieve spiritual balance, but if the percentage exceeds the allowed limit, the Yang within will attempt to expel the excess energy to maintain the stability of the Phoenix's body.

However, no amount of Yang could drive out this particular Yin energy.

All the Yang energy she had just taken [from Morse] did was boost her own Yang strength enough to preserve her physical form. Yet, she felt something strange... as if these two energies—the Yin invading her and the Yang from Morse—were somehow similar. As if they shared some ancient, primordial kinship.

She had no idea...

As she rose from the ground, Morse handed her the bucket of water he had struggled so hard to find. Ni Ni Layan took it from him, her mind racing with thoughts.

It's as if he is saying, "That is enough."

In her mind, Morse had given her his Yang essence to stabilize her, and now he was telling her to wash up—as if signaling that she shouldn't take 100% of his fluid, but only as much as she needed. From her perspective, she didn't even want to bathe; she wanted to lick every remaining drop of his essence.

As she stepped out before his eyes, Morse felt a terrible sense of foreboding. Will these rewired meridians truly change something?

While he stood there, frozen...

{Congratulations to the Host... The Host and his partner have engaged in a form of Dual Cultivation.}

"When did that even happen?!"

{Dual Cultivation Points: 60}

Hmm... if there are points, then where can I spend them?

As if the System had read his thoughts:

{Shop} {Cultivation}

Morse hesitated, staring at the options before him, wondering which path to take. Finally, he clicked on {Cultivation}.

{Initiate Cultivation... Qi Condensation Stage 1: 1 Point}

Is it really this cheap?

Morse immediately purchased the first stage. Instantly, he felt an incredibly warm flow of Qi surging through his meridians, nourishing his entire body in a way he could palpably feel.

{Qi Condensation Stage 2: 10 Points}

Damn it! The price just jumped 1000%! This is a robbery!

But he bought it anyway. As the power of the second stage washed over him, he glanced back at the screen.

{Qi Condensation Stage 3: 50 Points}

Morse's expression darkened as he looked at the 49 points he had left.

Meanwhile, on the other side, where Ni Ni Layan was washing herself with water in the open air...

{Congratulations to the Host... The Supreme Yin System is here. You have gained 200 Dual Cultivation Points for your major contribution to the recent Dual Cultivation session with your partner.}

Isn't this the same screen that appeared right before I fell asleep? she wondered.

Only one option appeared before her eyes:

{The Host has sufficient points for True Qi Cultivation. Cost for True Qi Condensation Stage 1: 200 Points.}
