"Harry..."
I whispered his name, bringing his hand to my lips and kissing it. He let out a low moan, his heavy lashes fluttering open as he looked at me. His eyes were bloodshot, surrounded by dark, heavy bags.
"How are you?"
His mouth moved, whispering something I couldn't quite catch. When I gave him a confused look, he glared at me, and I almost smiled.
I moved closer, sharing the mattress with him until I was lying by his side. If someone had asked me a few months ago if I'd be this close to a man, I would have shrunk back in fear. I wasn't even this intimate with my ex, but the more I surrounded myself with Harry, the more comfortable I became in his presence.
When I settled next to him, he gave a sigh of approval. He shot me a side-long look, still finding it difficult to move.
"Did you go to the market?"
Despite the weakness in his voice, there was a dark edge to his tone that made me sigh.
"Yes."
