Soft rain taps against the windows.
Not a storm.
Just gentle rain.
Inside a small house...
A kettle whistles.
Someone is humming.
The camera slowly moves through the home.
Books.
A wooden table.
A coat hanging near the door.
A pair of muddy boots.
A family picture...
taken after Season 4.
Aeryx. Ilya. Raven making a funny face in the background. Kael looking like he didn't want to be in the picture.
It doesn't feel like headquarters.
It feels...
like home.

SCENE 1 — MORNING CHAOS
Kitchen.
Ilya is making breakfast.
Aeryx walks in...
hair completely messy.
Still half asleep.
He quietly sits down.
Without saying a word.
Ilya doesn't even turn around.
"...Good morning."
"...Morning."
She places a cup of tea in front of him.
Exactly how he likes it.
Without asking.
Aeryx takes one sip.
"...Too hot."
"...I know."
"...Then why?"
"...Because if I don't..."
"...you'll drink it too fast."
He smiles.
"...You've become scary."
She finally laughs.
"I married a man who forgets breakfast."
"I had to adapt."
SCENE 2 — AN UNINVITED GUEST
A loud knock.
Before anyone answers—
The door flies open.
Raven walks in carrying three bags.
"I'm hungry."
Aeryx blinks.
"...You have your own house."
"I know."
"But your food tastes better."
Ilya sighs dramatically.
"I should've locked the door."
"You tried."
"I remember."
"You climbed through the window."
"I also remember."
Aeryx starts laughing.
SCENE 3 — THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Later.
Aeryx helps an old man fix a broken fence.
No powers.
Just a hammer.
A little boy watches.
"Mr. Aeryx..."
"...Is it true you saved the world?"
Aeryx keeps working.
"...Lots of people did."
The boy shakes his head.
"My dad says you were the strongest."
Aeryx stops hammering.
Looks at the boy.
Then smiles.
"...Strength isn't why we're still here."
The boy tilts his head.
"Then what is?"
Aeryx looks around.
Neighbors helping each other.
Children laughing.
An old woman giving bread to a stranger.
"...Because people didn't give up on each other."
The boy thinks for a second.
Then nods seriously.
"...I wanna be strong like that."
Aeryx smiles.
"...Good."
SCENE 4 — ILYA'S SECRET
Back home.
Ilya quietly opens a drawer.
Inside...
a small notebook.
Every page is filled.
Dates.
Meals.
Medicines.
Hours slept.
Tiny notes.
"Didn't eat lunch again."
"Stayed awake until 2:00 a.m."
"Smiled today."
She gently closes it.
Not because Aeryx asked.
Because she worries.
SCENE 5 — EVENING TRAINING
Training grounds.
Raven throws Aeryx a wooden sword.
"No powers."
He catches it.
"...You're serious?"
"I've wanted a rematch for years."
"You always want a rematch."
"Exactly."
Kael sits nearby with a cup of tea.
"I'm only here..."
"...to watch Raven lose."
Raven points her sword at him.
"You're next."
The fight begins.
Wood clashes against wood.
Fast.
Smooth.
Neither is trying to win.
They're enjoying it.
Raven swings.
Aeryx blocks.
She grins.
"...You're smiling."
"So are you."
She attacks faster.
"...Don't get used to it."
Aeryx suddenly spins.
Tap.
His wooden sword touches her shoulder.
"I win."
She looks down.
"...Lucky."
He laughs.
"...Keep telling yourself that."
For a second...
they're not heroes.
They're just friends.
SCENE 6 — NIGHT
The four sit together outside.
Small fire.
Tea.
No one speaks.
No one needs to.
The silence isn't awkward.
It's peaceful.
Finally...
Kael says quietly,
"...My world never had nights like this."
Everyone looks at him.
He smiles sadly.
"We were always preparing..."
"...for tomorrow."
He looks at the fire.
"...We forgot to enjoy today."
Nobody has an answer.
Because none is needed.
FINAL SCENE
Later that night.
Aeryx quietly closes the front door.
Checks that the lights are off.
Looks around the house.
Everything is calm.
He smiles.
Very softly.
"...This feels nice."
He turns toward the hallway.
The camera stays in the living room.
Silence.
Then...
A family photograph on the shelf...
tilts by itself.
Just a little.
No sound.
No glow.
No monster.
Just...
one frame.
Moving.
As though someone...
had stopped...
to look at it.
