Chapter 89 - Chapter 89: Returning to the Ecological Planet

Captain Marvel was still waiting outside the atmosphere.

"You're not hurt, are you? What about the Tyrant Herald?"

She rushed forward, placing her hands against the Infinite Armor, her face filled with anxious concern.

"I'm fine…"

Renjie gently held her fingers, smiling at the woman who had forgotten herself in worry.

At this moment, she looked nothing like a superhero.

Out in the vast universe,

once she finally caught her breath, Captain Marvel wrapped her arms around Renjie's neck.

The two embraced fiercely.

They say a short separation feels like a new marriage—

perhaps this was the perfect description of them now.

After a long moment, their lips finally parted.

"How did you do it?"

"I… I never thought you'd come so fast."

Carol asked in amazement.

Renjie's arrival had been too timely—

as if he had been secretly protecting her all along.

"Like this…"

Renjie took her hand.

Brilliant space energy flowed from his fingertips, forming a spatial wormhole large enough for two people to pass through.

Ignoring her shy protest, Renjie lifted her into his arms and flew straight into the portal!

In the next instant—

They were already back on Earth, inside Renjie's duplex villa.

This place was not only his home, but also his underground laboratory—

where he developed weapons and equipment for the members of the alliance.

"My God… how did you do that?"

Carol asked in disbelief.

Crossing from one galaxy to another with such pinpoint precision—

It was like the instant teleportation seen in anime, freely moving across the cosmos.

"Because I missed you too much,"

"and wanted to see you faster—so I learned how."

Renjie teased with a smile.

Carol laughed and punched his shoulder, then walked toward the sofa.

She was exhausted.

Perhaps staying on Earth tonight…

and resting properly…

wasn't such a bad idea.

Fighting a top-tier Celestial-level Tyrant Herald had taken a terrible toll on her.

Even her combat suit was damaged—she clearly needed a new one.

Renjie deactivated the Infinite Armor and walked over with a smile.

"Your suit is ruined. Let me make you a new one."

He raised his left hand.

The ring on his index finger caught Carol's attention.

"You're the most thoughtful man I've ever met," she said softly.

"So… what are you going to do now?"

"Take my measurements?"

She reached out, pulling him into her arms.

"Actually…"

Renjie shrugged, wanting to explain the principles behind the nano battle suit—

But Carol gave him no chance to finish.

This Captain Marvel was far more proactive than he had imagined.

Renjie's expensive suit was torn into strips and tossed carelessly into the trash.

Under half-forced circumstances,

the third woman entered his heart.

That night, his greatest regret vanished.

Although he never got to see the Latverian dancers,

he gained something far more precious.

In both body and soul.

It became the longest—and most intense—night of Renjie's life.

They ignored the boundaries of space,

and forgot the passage of time.

All they wanted was to give their best selves to each other.

Tonight—

Sleep was impossible.

The Next Morning

Carol wore Renjie's oversized shirt, lazily leaning on the sofa as she enjoyed a rich breakfast.

Her only combat suit

had been destroyed in last night's battle.

Until a new one was completed, she would remain on Earth.

Partly to recover…

and partly to help Renjie solve what lay ahead.

Last night, during the height of the battle,

Renjie had asked if she would join the Injustice League.

Without hesitation,

Captain Marvel agreed.

"An enforcement alliance that does not rely on conventional methods to uphold world justice."

She liked this pragmatic hero team and was willing to contribute her strength.

As a cosmic hero, Carol had witnessed too many tragedies.

In the face of true crises,

individual power was far too fragile.

Only unity could stand against annihilation.

Though Renjie's methods were not legally sanctioned,

they served the survival of all humanity.

The best defense was not on the homeland—

but intercepting enemies in the endless cosmos.

Renjie's visit to Wakanda

was to obtain vibranium,

to build the most powerful interstellar warship.

That ship would remain stationed in space—

as humanity's forward outpost.

With the core members of the Injustice League,

they would be able to face any cosmic threat.

This was a good thing.

Captain Marvel fully supported it.

Her joining made the Injustice League complete.

The next step—

Issue the summoning command.

All members, assemble.

Before they set foot in Wakanda,

they would make their final preparations.
