Chapter 5 - Chapter 74 Elemental Giant

Lin Bai focused his thoughts. Above his spiritual sea, a semi-transparent crystal floated silently, alongside the Divine Bow and Golden Arrow, and the Mountain God Seal.

"We can't use our abilities here, let's go to the dungeon."

  "Okay."

Gu Yuena's forehead glowed with silver light, a gentle breeze blew in from nowhere, empowering her snow-white feet. She rode the wind, flying out of Notting Academy.

Lin Bai pursed his lips and whistled. Ying Tian, who was sunbathing not far away, heard the call and floated off the ground. Lin Bai jumped onto the dragon's back and followed behind Gu Yuena.

Notting City was no longer what it used to be. With the arrival of several Soul Emperors and Soul Saints like Flander, their exaggerated strength led adventurers to explore the dungeon. Strangely dressed adventurers could be seen everywhere on the streets.

The drop rate of equipment in the dungeon was extremely low, but the adventurers relentlessly farmed monsters day and night. Day after day, they would eventually get lucky and obtain equipment suitable for themselves.

Lin Bai, riding a giant dragon, drew attention in the air. He was used to displaying his divine power in public to gather the collective energy of all beings to power his Time-Space Divine Spark.

He glanced at Gu Yuena, wondering how she activated her divine spark. Unfortunately, their races and stances differed, making friendly communication difficult.

He guessed Gu Yuena wanted to seize Lin Bai's divine spark.

"What a pity. Notting City's population of over 100,000 provides me with a continuous stream of collective energy. With the Time-Space Divine Spark in hand, even Gu Yuena, no matter how strong, can't kill me."

Lin Bai didn't know how much energy the Time-Space Divine Spark would store, but he estimated it was three to five times more than what the kobold Caesar possessed.

Soon, they arrived at the dungeon, reaching the twentieth floor. Lin Bai and Gu Yuena faced each other, one brimming with fighting spirit, the other calm and collected.

"Before the battle, shouldn't you tell me your class? After all, you already know I'm a Dragon Knight."

While eager to fight, Lin Bai didn't forget to gather information.

Gu Yuena raised her eyes, her long legs standing still, a gentle breeze swirling around her, gradually transforming into a raging storm that swept across a vast area. An ancient aura swept over them, the violent wind elements seemingly about to tear through this underground city.

"Telling you won't hurt. My profession is Elemental Shapeshifter. Enough talk, let the battle begin."

Gu Yuena wasn't particularly fond of fighting, but she had to admit that combat was the best solution for most problems.

As soon as she finished speaking, Gu Yuena's slender figure vanished, replaced by a ten-meter-tall wind elemental giant—no, it should be called an elemental behemoth, a special elemental life form with terrifying destructive power.

Lin Bai closed his Eye of Appraisal, a ripple of emotion stirring within him. He had some guesses about Gu Yuena's profession; the abilities of adventurer professions often matched their names. Elemental Shapeshifter, she should be able to transform into a corresponding elemental behemoth.

"That's really unfair. Well, I can't hold back then."

The Ruyi Qiankun Spear appeared in Lin Bai's hand, a black line appearing on the surface of the golden spear, slowly expanding until it covered Lin Bai and Ying Tian.

The human and the dragon simultaneously activated the Light and Dark Demon Body skill, directly entering their second form. The abundant light was completely devoured and merged with the darkness.

Ying Tian's platinum scales turned as black as ink, emanating an ominous aura.

  "Great Black Heaven Dragon Rider!"

A near-empty dark domain unfolded, and Ying Tian's lips curled into a snarling aura as he roared, unleashing a torrent of pitch-black dragon breath that shattered the vast curtain of wind.

Gu Yuena was somewhat surprised by Lin Bai's displayed strength. In his Great Black Heaven Dragon Rider form, Ying Tian's dragon breath was enough to severely injure a Soul Saint who hadn't yet awakened their Martial Soul True Body. However, mere surprise wasn't enough to move her.

The ten-meter-tall elemental giant slowly compressed into a three-meter-tall elemental creature. The pale blue elemental life form opened its arms, half of its body beginning to expand, stirring up a fierce wind. The sharp gale left inch-long cuts on the surface of the dungeon's rock strata, destroying mountains and rocks.

The dragon breath collided with the hurricane curtain, unleashing a powerful shockwave that kicked up dust and scattered debris.

Gu Yuena didn't trust the suddenly appearing dungeon. In the beginner dungeon, she only used her elemental manipulation abilities. When she cleared the dungeon and was given the choice of class, she understood the reason for the three classes, but only felt a slight regret.

Because of her chosen profession, Elemental Shapeshifter, she could transform into any element she controlled, even the mysterious and unpredictable spatial element, after leveling up. The

Elemental Giant she transformed into could be immune to 80-100% of physical attacks and negate 30-70% of energy damage, depending on the element. Furthermore, she gained a 50% amplification from daily use of elemental skills, and a triple amplification when using the corresponding elemental skill after transformation.

It could be said that this passive talent alone, once her original body recovered to its peak strength, would allow her to reach the peak of the God-King level even without the Golden Dragon King bloodline.

Gu Yuena was lost in thought, her boundless spiritual power driving a hurricane that attacked in three directions, peeling away layers of rock along its path, embedding sharp blades into the hurricane.

Lin Bai's expression remained unchanged; he hadn't slacked off during his cultivation in another body.

  Darkness, devour! Infiltrate! Merge!

Ying Tian spread his wings, his Wind Summoning skill stirring the surrounding darkness, spreading forward. Wherever it went, whether it was a hurricane or shattered rock, none could escape being devoured and merged.

Gu Yuena's calm heart was stirred. Elemental properties?

How could he, at such a young age, possibly possess such profound power of dark laws?

Even the vastness and power of ordinary elements wouldn't move Gu Yuena, because only by comprehending ordinary elements to a certain degree could one condense ultimate attributes—the power of rules—the path for elemental soul beasts to become gods.

The great paths may differ, but they all lead to the same destination; humans who comprehend the true essence of elements will also benefit greatly.

However, regarding her true form, Di Tian's previous life was a divine dragon, so that doesn't count. The remaining ferocious beasts who have cultivated with her for hundreds of thousands of years haven't broken through the shackles of ultimate attributes; they're all trapped at the final step, thus requiring enlightenment from a divine spark of wisdom. Are

  humans really so uniquely gifted?

Gu Yuena's composure vanished, replaced by a hint of gritted teeth. All the attributes she possessed were ultimate, but the human body was weak. Without unleashing more of the Silver Dragon King's power, she couldn't use ultimate attributes. Once the Silver Dragon King's power was unleashed, her flawless disguise would be affected, making her easily detectable by powerful humans or gods.

Forced into this situation, Gu Yuena couldn't help but feel a surge of fighting spirit. The wind shifted, and a dazzling light erupted from the center of the hurricane. The elemental giant instantly transformed into the light giant, its golden-white body dispelling darkness and purifying the void.

That wasn't enough; even a semi-ultimate attribute was stronger than a normal one.

Gu Yuena took a deep breath, releasing her vast, ocean-like spiritual power from between her brows. She drew wisps of dark elemental energy from the surrounding area, adding them to the elemental giant's body. The two conflicting forces, however, perfectly merged under her powerful control.
