Chapter 27 - Chapter 96 Unexpected Visitor

  The next day.

Flander and Yu Xiaogang led the students back to Notting Academy.

Lin Bai sat on the grass meditating. Under the sunlight, his handsome features were illuminated by interplay of light and shadow, and various powers rose up, fusing and separating under the tempering of the sunlight, constantly improving their quality.

In just one day, his skin had already taken on a faint bronze hue, because his skin had not yet adapted to the prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Although the fusion of the small world with the source of the stars and the tempering of the body were only incidental effects, in Lin Bai's view, this kind of improvement was more efficient than cultivating the Mountain Lord Body Tempering Technique without relying on the earth's vein energy.

"Dean, you're back. How was the harvest?"

Sensing someone approaching, he opened his eyes. The conversion of starlight in the small world did not require his attention to control. The reason he meditated was to use the sunlight to condense his soul power, mana power, and spiritual power.

Getting stronger just by basking in the sun, he wouldn't be lazy.

Flander pushed up his glasses. "Not bad. After clearing the dungeon, everyone gets a random blue armor piece and 5,000 experience points. It's much more efficient than grinding monsters."

"Not bad. My reward is a purple skill and armor, plus 50,000 experience points. So, after the first clear reward, it will be reduced to one-tenth."

Lin Bai knew the previous dungeon rewards, so he wasn't too surprised.

Tang San's eyes flashed with envy. Purple skills, apart from a small chance of dropping from killing BOSSes, can only be reliably obtained through dungeons. With BOSSes gradually being monopolized by major forces, he now only has one purple skill, not to mention a piece of purple armor.

"It really was you, Lin Bai, who cleared the dungeon! The Dean said you cleared it before we went in. I didn't believe it. I heard that even Title Douluo entered the dungeon, but none of them were as fast as you. How did you do it?"

Ma Hongjun's eyes were almost red with envy. If it were anyone else who cleared it, he would definitely be unconvinced, but Lin Bai had always acted too monstrously, so he couldn't help but be impressed.

"Clearing dungeons depends on luck. By the way, my purple armor is heavy armor. Anyone interested? You can trade with me if you find something suitable."

Lin Bai never relied on luck to clear dungeons. Although his luck was good, it couldn't compare to the stability of cheating.

"Heavy armor, Mu Bai might be able to use it, but it's a bit of a stretch."

Flander looked at Dai Mu Bai, who shook his head: "I don't need it. With the White Tiger Martial Soul and the Netherworld Monk class combined, very few things can hurt me. Heavy armor would also reduce my speed."

"Then I'll go back and ask Old Zhao. He should be interested."

Flander suggested a candidate, and Lin Bai nodded. Zhao Wuji was indeed suitable for wearing heavy armor.

"There's something else. Xiao Gang and I discussed it when we came back. He packed his things today and will be returning to Shrek Academy with us tomorrow. Lin Bai, you've already reached the graduation standard for the junior academy. It's difficult to make much progress here in a short time. Why don't you come with us?"

Lin Bai hesitated upon hearing this. Going to Shrek Academy a year early wasn't a problem for him, but recently more and more advanced academies had heard about him. It would be good to go out and avoid the limelight.

So he nodded, "Okay, then I'll go with you."

"That's right, then we'll meet here tomorrow."

Flander smiled. Things weren't completely settled, and he was always worried that Lin Bai would change his mind; thankfully, he hadn't.

He looked around; the gifted girls weren't there, but judging from their usual behavior, they would probably be with Lin Bai, so he didn't need to worry about them.

Lin Bai watched Flander leave and continued his cultivation.

  Tap! Tap! Tap!

He didn't have much peace before a steady, unhurried footstep sound came from afar. Lin Bai suddenly opened his eyes, his face showing surprise. He saw a dashing figure standing at the garden entrance, a delicate and aloof face with a half-smile, alluring red lips slightly parted:

"Lin Bai, Dragon Knight, eleven years old, able to fight a Soul Saint without being at a disadvantage—who would have thought you were just a student at a junior academy?"

The newcomer was none other than Qian Renxue. She made no attempt to disguise herself, suspecting Lin Bai knew her true identity. Her appearance was both a test and a silent threat.

She was determined to uncover Lin Bai's secret.

Lin Bai slowly rose, his expression extremely serious. He released his mental energy and, as expected, sensed two Title Douluos hiding in the shadows. It was because of their intense interference that he hadn't noticed Qian Renxue's approach.

  "How did you find me?"

Since meeting Qian Renxue, Lin Bai had rarely summoned Ying Tian to swagger through the streets, affecting his speed of collecting divine energy.

  "It really was you!"

Qian Renxue was certain of her guess, all hope gone. She had indeed been completely fooled by an eleven-year-old boy.

Her face was cold as she stared at Lin Bai. "Finding a person is extremely difficult, but finding a dragon—there are only three Dragon Knights in the entire Douluo Continent."

The implication was clear: the Spirit Hall could find him easily. Lin Bai's expression   shifted.

It turned out someone else had also obtained the Dragon Knight profession, but his true profession was Divine Dragon Knight—one extra word made all the difference, so he didn't pay much attention to the news. He turned to look at the sky, a faint, mocking smile on his face. "Since you're so frank, I won't beat around the bush."   "Qian Renxue, do you think adding two Title Douluos will give you the upper hand?"   Qian Renxue's face darkened, and she suddenly felt a little less confident.   "Hmph!"   A cold snort boomed like thunder in Lin Bai's ears, intended to intimidate him, but Lin Bai maintained his calm smile, seemingly unaffected.   The Serpent Spear Douluo, who had been secretly attacking, was greatly surprised and simply revealed himself, landing on the ground, wielding his eighteen-foot serpent spear.   "Young Master, this brat is so arrogant and disrespectful. We should capture him and interrogate him. I'm willing to help."   Other Title Douluos might hesitate to bully the weak, but the Serpent Spear Douluo didn't care. Otherwise, he wouldn't have joined the Spirit Hall and protected Qian Renxue for over a decade.   Qian Renxue remained noncommittal, her gaze sweeping over Lin Bai's face, unable to make a decision. Her main concern was the method Lin Bai used to possess her body; it terrified her   . The feeling of having an extra soul within her, which she couldn't perceive, especially since others couldn't see it, was truly frightening. As for strength, Qian Renxue wasn't so worried. Since she had come to find Lin Bai, she was confident she could subdue and capture him.   In reality, Lin Bai wasn't as nonchalant as he appeared. With one Title Douluo, he could rely on his small world for energy and still have a chance to escape unscathed. But with two Title Douluos plus Qian Renxue, he was struggling.   Damn it, they had to come when his divine energy was insufficient.   There was only one way left.   Lin Bai's mind raced, and he secretly transmitted his thoughts.   (End of Chapter)
