Chapter 10 - Captain America, Almost HYDRA Captain

At Gattler's command, the seven elite HYDRA squad members, led by his adopted son Ward, uniformly pulled down the night vision components on their helmets.

But in the next second, as an explosion sounded outside the car, the carriage immediately erupted in a cacophony of shouts.

It turned out that after blowing up the headlights of the modified car with two shots, Li Pu threw down his double-barreled flintlock shotgun.

First, he found cover on the ground and lay down.

Then, Li Pu threw a horn-shaped powder flask from behind the cover, and then used a revolver he had bought years ago on a whim to show off, to detonate the powder flask in mid-air.

The black powder exploded, not only making a sound louder than a firecracker, but also creating a blinding flash in the pitch-black night.

All the HYDRA Agents were instantly affected.

Nick Fury must not have taken a kickback when purchasing this equipment, because the resolution of these night vision devices was too sensitive.

"Lock the car doors, the car compartment is bulletproof!" Although Gattler was also affected, his mind was still clear, so he immediately gave the order.

However, he knew nothing about speed.

That full moon night, after having several ribs broken by the nearly Great Ape-transformed little Broly, Li Pu's three attributes of Strength, Agility, and Physique all increased to 30 at once.

Years passed, and through daily hunting, training, and periodically playing "combat games" with little Broly to expend his energy, Li Pu's three attributes were now all close to 50.

It's no exaggeration to say that if he hadn't been concerned about the Nikolai family of three being present, and also wanting to personally teach Broly not to "brute force" and not to make the scene too bloody during combat, Li Pu actually had the ability to punch the "long nose" engine at the front of this modified heavy truck into the cabin.

But even holding back his strength, when a car full of HYDRA Agents was blinded by the flash, he still sprinted to the car door at a speed far exceeding that of an Olympic sprinter.

BlockUsing one hand's wrist to block the car door that had just opened and was about to close, Li Pu immediately offered a sincere greeting to the people inside the car.

"Surprise! Motherfucker!"

Also offering a greeting was the revolver Li Pu held up in his other hand.

Because the trigger was pulled very quickly, the "bang" sounds blended together. The remaining five bullets in the cylinder were all emptied, and the heads of five HYDRA Agents instantly exploded.

Although he still couldn't see clearly, Gattler immediately pulled one of his subordinates over, firmly "shielding" himself with him.

Immediately after, regardless of whether he might accidentally injure friendly forces, he raised the submachine gun muzzle towards the approximate direction of the car door and pulled the trigger.

Da da da—

As an S.H.I.E.L.D. Level 8 Agent and a Senior Military Officer of HYDRA, Gattler's reaction was undoubtedly swift and his attitude decisive, but in the end, the bullets in his gun still only hit air.

With the revolver cylinder empty, Li Pu ducked down and drill got under the heavy truck, then quickly reloaded six bullets into the cylinder.

By the time Gattler's burst of bullets was exhausted, he emerged from the other side of the heavy truck's compartment and punched the driver's side window.

"Bang!" The window was shattered by Li Pu's punch, and then he fired bullets at Gattler and the only remaining HYDRA Agent, who was like a frightened bird.

"Fuck, Nick Fury even embezzled the money for the bulletproof car doors and windows..."

Before his consciousness disappeared due to the bullet penetrating his brain, Gattler's last thought was still cursing their Director.

At this moment, the phrase "worker's resentment" seemed to have materialized.

He just didn't know that the broken window was originally bulletproof glass. The reason it was shattered with one punch was simply due to Li Pu's "innate Divine Power."

After dealing with a carload of HYDRA Agents, Li Pu immediately sensed their rapidly dissipating Qi — a habit he had developed while hunting to guard against beasts' death throes.

However, after releasing his perception, Li Pu discovered that there was still a strange Qi present in the truck's cargo compartment.

This Qi was so faint that Li Pu, who had been focused on combat, failed to sense its presence immediately.

However, although this Qi was as faint as a flickering candle in the wind, Li Pu could feel its tenacity.

"This is definitely not an ordinary person." Having made this judgment, Li Pu immediately put the revolver back into its holster.

Because in the current situation, at least with the caliber of this revolver, it would likely not be very effective in a real fight. So Li Pu gathered the Qi within his body, bent his arm slightly, ready to use Vegeta's famous ultimate technique on the person hidden in the cargo compartment.

But in the end, Li Pu's "Prince's Fighting Style" was ultimately not used—

He cautiously opened the cargo compartment door, only to see a soldier still "sleeping" inside.

Moreover, this soldier was completely encased in ice, with only a few breathing holes left in the ice.

"No wonder the Qi emanating was so strange, faint yet tenacious. So it's this man who 'can fight all day long.'"

Li Pu suddenly understood.

Meanwhile, as he opened the cargo bay door, a signal was received at the Triskelion in Washington, D.C.

"I knew it! It's always right to have a B plan ready!"

Having waited for a long time, and finally receiving the GPS positioning information, S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury cheered from the bottom of his heart.

Honestly, he had just considered taking out his long-cherished pager and making an "interstellar call" for help.

After all, first they found Captain America alive in the Arctic Circle, and then they lost such a "pillar of society."

Such extreme joy and sorrow could send any normal person's blood pressure through the roof, let alone Nick Fury, who was bald.

Calming himself down, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Director then looked at his most trusted subordinate, Phil Coulson, who had been waiting with him in the office for several hours.

"Coulson, the miniature GPS that the excavation team secretly implanted in Captain's body has sent a signal. The signal, which had been shielded, has reappeared. We have re-located Captain, who was lost during transport. I order you to retrieve him immediately, by any means necessary..."

Coulson, as a "devoted fan" of Captain America, hearing that the mission was to rescue his idol, immediately rushed towards the Triskelion's helipad without a second thought.

However, Nick Fury called out to him and gave him a few specific instructions.

"...Bringing Captain back as soon as possible is the top priority. Investigating who stole Captain can be done after he's brought back.

Furthermore, after a long period of dormancy, a rashly awakened Captain might not only suffer memory loss, but his mental state could also be disoriented.

And if someone has brainwashed him—if such a situation truly occurs, I authorize you to use non-lethal weapons on Captain."

Coulson understood the Director's concerns, and his expression instantly became more serious, but he ultimately nodded heavily.

"Don't worry, Director, I will definitely bring our Captain back," he assured Nick Fury.
