THE GATE OF DESTINY
Darkness swallowed the sky.
The enormous shadow above the Frozen Fortress continued to grow.
Its crimson eyes burned like two dying suns.
Every mountain within sight trembled beneath its presence.
The snowstorm vanished completely.
Nature itself had fallen silent.
Even time seemed to hesitate.
The Executioner remained kneeling.
Every Seeker bowed their head.
None of them dared look directly at the being above them.
Only one voice broke the silence.
"The Devourer..."
Orion whispered.
His face had turned pale.
Riva emerged from the chamber of the Final Archive.
The Keeper walked beside her, its body made entirely of starlight.
Everyone turned toward them.
Eva immediately noticed something had changed.
Riva's eyes glowed faintly with silver light.
The pendant around her neck had transformed into a brilliant star-shaped crystal.
"You found something."
Eva said.
Riva nodded.
"I found the truth."
Aarvi stepped closer.
"What truth?"
Riva looked toward the black sky.
Then toward Queen Aurelia.
"The Final Archive doesn't exist to protect knowledge."
"It exists..."
"...to choose those worthy of protecting the future."
Silence filled the fortress.
The Keeper raised its hand.
A map of countless kingdoms appeared above the throne room.
The heirs recognized Aurelia.
The underground kingdom.
The Star Archive.
The Frozen Fortress.
Dozens of other kingdoms appeared as well.
Then...
One by one...
The kingdoms disappeared.
Only a single glowing kingdom remained.
The unnamed kingdom surrounded by black light.
The Keeper spoke.
"This kingdom was erased from history."
"No records remain."
"No memories remain."
"No name remains."
The Four Heirs stared at the glowing image.
"Who erased it?"
Parna asked.
The Keeper slowly turned toward the crimson eyes above the fortress.
"It did."
The Devourer.
The realization sent chills through everyone.
It wasn't merely destroying kingdoms.
It was erasing them from existence.
Exactly as the Seekers had done for centuries.
Queen Aurelia closed her eyes.
"So..."
"It has awakened again."
The Devourer finally spoke.
Its voice echoed across the world.
Deep.
Ancient.
Impossible to describe.
"Return..."
"The Five..."
The words shook every mountain.
Orion looked upward.
Then stepped in front of the Four Heirs.
"I won't let you touch them."
The Devourer laughed.
A terrifying sound that echoed endlessly.
"You cannot stop destiny."
The black clouds descended toward the fortress.
Suddenly—
Cassian raised his golden sword.
"Royal Guard!"
Golden light erupted across the fortress.
Ancient statues lining the halls began moving.
Hundreds of stone warriors awakened.
Each wore the armor of Aurelia.
Each carried golden weapons.
The forgotten Royal Guard had returned.
The stone soldiers charged the Seekers.
A new battle erupted.
Golden light collided with black shadows.
The fortress became a battlefield once again.
Kael fought beside Elias.
Lyra protected Selene.
Cassian led the Royal Guard.
Orion stood before the Four Heirs.
For the first time...
Every protector of Aurelia fought together.
Riva suddenly remembered the Keeper's final words.

She looked toward her friends.
"We're not here to repeat history."

The Four Heirs joined hands.
The pendant.
The compass.
The crystal key.
Nature's blessing.
All four artifacts floated into the air.
Orion stepped beside them.
His sword pointed toward the heavens.
The five symbols merged together.
A magnificent star appeared above the fortress.
Its light pierced the darkness.

"...is this?"
The Keeper smiled.
"Hope."
A beam of silver light shot toward the sky.
It struck the black clouds.
The darkness cracked.

The Devourer roared in fury.

The black clouds slowly retreated beyond the mountains.
The remaining Seekers immediately withdrew.
The Executioner disappeared into the storm.
Within moments...
The battlefield became silent.
Snow began falling once again.

Peaceful.

The Four Heirs stood exhausted.
Orion looked toward Queen Aurelia.
"We've won."
Aurelia smiled sadly.
"No."
"We've only survived."
The Keeper stepped forward.

The glowing image of the forgotten kingdom appeared once more.

A massive gate stood at its center.
The same mysterious gate Riva had been drawing since childhood.
The Four Heirs stared at it in silence.
Riva whispered,
"So it was always leading us there..."
The Keeper nodded.
"Beyond that gate lies the greatest mystery."
"The story of the kingdom that vanished."
"And the truth behind the Devourer."
Queen Aurelia looked at the Five Heirs one final time.
"My children..."
"The path ahead belongs to you."
Her body slowly dissolved into countless particles of light.
The Final Archive had completed its purpose.
"Thank you..."
She whispered.
Then she was gone.
The fortress became silent.
The stars shone brightly above the snowy mountains.
Far beyond the horizon...
The crimson eyes of the Devourer opened once more.
"You delayed the inevitable."
"When the Gate opens..."
"I will be waiting."
The voice faded into the wind.
Riva, Parna, Eva, Aarvi, and Orion stood together at the entrance of the Frozen Fortress.
Not as strangers.
Not as chosen heroes.
But as the Five Heirs of Aurelia.
Their first journey had ended.

He slipped the crystal into his coat and disappeared into the shadows.
