Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: War Has Arrived

The city was eerily quiet. Abandoned buildings, broken streets, and shattered windows were the only reminders that once, this place was full of life. The world had seen it all on the news, heard the warnings, and now they were watching live, as the first true battle of the war unfolded.

The GAPA team had cleared the city of civilians, but Incarnations had already begun to arrive. There was no turning back now. The Incarnations, led by Kheara, had made their move, and the Wardens were all that stood between humanity and annihilation.

GAPA's specialized equipment blanketed the area, with Aetherium barriers surrounding the perimeter to ensure no civilian casualties. A large screen was broadcasting the entire battle to global news channels, showing the Wardens' arrival and the preparations being made by the Incarnations. Everyone was watching. The world held its breath.

The Wardens began to move through the destroyed city streets, their Aetherium-powered armor shimmering as they scanned the environment. The global broadcast had captured every moment of their approach—their glowing weapons, the precision in their movements, the calm determination in their eyes.

Captain Marek leads the charge, his sword drawn and ready. He looks back at the Wardens behind him, each one gearing up for the battle ahead. The holographic display shows their synchronized formations, allowing them to move as a well-oiled machine.

"We've trained for this," Marek says, his voice steady, calm. "This is it, Wardens. We protect humanity—no matter the cost."

Behind him, Lys stands, his golden eyes burning with resolve. His new form is a visible sign of the power he's gained since his resurrection—his claws, sharp and glowing, ready for the battle ahead. He's not just a Warden. He's humanity's last hope.

"We move in pairs," Lys says, his voice clear and commanding. "Stay in formation, but don't hold back. If they come at us—we end them."

From the distant skyline, a dark storm cloud begins to form. The Eclipse has arrived. As the storm thickens, the shifting form of an Incarnation becomes visible, his presence twisting the fabric of reality itself. It's Kheara, the Incarnation of Time—and with him, a handful of other Incarnations from his faction.

Kheara steps forward, his manipulation of time warping the air around him. Time itself seems to stutter, with flashes of reality flickering and distorting.

"GAPA... your time is over," Kheara's voice echoes through the battlefield, deep and resonating. "You can't stop what's inevitable."

The other Incarnations emerge from the shadows—Eclipse commanders, each one towering, their forms glowing with dark, otherworldly energy. The sky above is now a chaotic swirl of darkness and light, reflecting the shifting battlefields of time.

The battle is nothing short of cataclysmic.

The Wardens move in, their synchronized steps crashing into the ground with force, their Aetherium swords clashing with the Incarnations' reality-bending powers. Kheara stands at the back, his hands raised, manipulating time to slow down attacks and warp reality. The Eclipses respond with violent bursts of energy, turning entire buildings into rubble with the flick of a wrist.

Lys, at the forefront, moves with unnatural speed. His claws slash through the air, cutting through darkness as he faces one of the Eclipses head-on.

"Seraphim Breath!" Lys calls, his voice cutting through the chaos.

The green beam of pure energy erupts from his hands, colliding with the Eclipse's form, splitting it apart in a flash of light. But even as the Eclipse disintegrates, more emerge from the shadows—there's no end to them.

Marek and the other Wardens fight with lethal precision, their Aetherium-powered weapons cutting through the Incarnations' defenses. The Incarnations are powerful, but the Wardens have the edge in teamwork and coordination.

"Focus on the core," Marek shouts, cutting down an Eclipse with a single strike. "If we take down the leader, the rest will follow!"

Meanwhile, Lys is facing another Incarnation, one whose shadowy form is constantly shifting—its limbs bending and distorting with each movement. The Incarnation strikes, but Lys is faster, his claws slashing and blocking its attacks.

"You're nothing but a puppet," Lys sneers, his voice steady despite the chaos. "I'll make sure this war ends today."

With a powerful slash, Lys tears through the Incarnation's form, its body shattering like glass as the Aetherium energy absorbs the impact. But Kheara is still standing, his gaze unwavering.

"You think you've won?" Kheara calls out, his voice echoing with disdain. "The war has only just begun."

The battle rages on, and the global media is filled with live coverage. On news stations, people are glued to their screens, watching the Wardens and Incarnations fight in real time. The world sees the destruction, the power on display. This isn't just a fight for survival—this is a fight for the future of humanity itself.

"Incredible! The Wardens are holding their ground against the Incarnations!" one reporter exclaims. "But can they survive against the manipulations of time? The stakes have never been higher."

"We are witnessing history in the making," another anchor comments. "GAPA's Wardens are humanity's last line of defense against the oncoming destruction. If they fail—"

The camera shifts to the destruction around them. Skyscrapers collapse, streets crack open, and the air is thick with the sound of explosions. The entire city is crumbling under the weight of the battle.

"This is just the beginning," the anchor concludes grimly. "The fate of the world rests in their hands."

As the camera zooms out, showing the destruction of the city and the aftermath of the battle, the news anchor delivers the final words:

"The battle in Paris may be over, but this is just the beginning of a new era. The world has witnessed the first clash of a war that will change everything. The Wardens have proved themselves capable of standing up to the Incarnations, but will humanity's power be enough to win this fight? Only time will tell."
