Chapter 96 - Chapter 96: Darkness

The battlefield was silent now, the echoes of the cosmic struggle fading into the darkened horizon. The ground was cracked, broken, and the once-vibrant landscape was now consumed by the chaotic aftermath of the battle between the Eclipse Incarnation, Kheara, and Lys.

Kheara, weakened and unable to stop the overwhelming Eclipse Incarnation, lay motionless, his form barely a shadow in the eerie light that now consumed the land. Lys, barely conscious, struggled to rise, his body battered from the cosmic power that had nearly broken him.

But above them, the Eclipse Incarnation stood tall. His eyes burned with celestial energy, a mixture of radiance and shadow that reflected the very essence of light and darkness merging as one. The cosmic storm had faded, leaving a twisted, fragmented sky—a perfect reflection of the destruction he had caused.

The Eclipse Incarnation raised his arms to the sky, his body flickering between light and shadow as if the very forces of nature were bowing to his will. The world around him seemed to shift with every motion, the very fabric of time bending to his whims.

"I am the end of all things," he said softly, his voice filled with quiet power. "I am the beginning of the new world, where light and darkness are united. Time itself will serve me, and space will bend to my command."

With a sweeping motion of his hand, the landscape warped. The sky above him darkened, the sun and moon now locked in a perpetual eclipse. The very gravity around him shifted, and the world felt the effects of his power as light and shadow merged, creating a world in perpetual twilight.

The time fractures began to expand—moments in the past and future collided, and the very essence of reality was rewritten under his control. Cities disappeared into the past, while ancient ruins emerged from the future, all merging in a chaotic storm of existence and non-existence.

The Eclipse Incarnation could feel the time anomalies expanding with every passing moment. Time itself, once linear, now seemed to flow in unpredictable patterns, but it was no longer out of control—he was in command.

"The world will no longer know order or chaos," the Eclipse Incarnation whispered. "There will be only the Eclipse, an eternal state of unity between light and dark, where time and space no longer fight against each other."

He raised his hands once more, and the air shimmered as time itself began to bend. Past and future collided, and the present seemed to stretch and fold into itself. The world was now his to shape—a reality where time and space were his tools to reshape.

He walked through the shifting landscape, and as he did, reality warped around him. A city appeared—one from a time long forgotten. Buildings from the past materialized, ancient structures standing side by side with futuristic technology. The boundaries between moments blurred, and the world began to fall into an eternal eclipse, a place where nothing was permanent.

The Eclipse Incarnation smiled, his form radiating cosmic power. He had finally brought about his vision—a world where light and dark, time and space, were unified under his rule.

The global response was chaotic. Governments, military forces, and the citizens of the world had been thrown into turmoil. News broadcasts were flooded with reports of strange temporal anomalies and shifting cities. The world was unable to comprehend what was happening.

"What is happening to the world?!" a news anchor screamed, his face pale as the footage behind him showed a city decaying while ancient civilizations appeared in the distance.

"Time itself is being manipulated," an expert in temporal theory said, his voice trembling. "Cities are being pulled from the past and future. The Eclipse Incarnation has begun his ascension, and we're powerless to stop it."

Even in the streets, people had begun to witness the rifts in time. Some saw the past—long-lost loved ones, memories of events that had been forgotten. Others saw the future, glimpses of things to come—cities burning, rivers drying up, and chaos spreading.

The Eclipse Incarnation's power was undeniable. He had reshaped the world and time itself, and there was no longer any hope of returning to the past. Reality had been rewritten, and the world was trapped in an eternal state of flux.

With the world now under his control, the Eclipse Incarnation stood atop the highest peak of the mountains, his form glowing with the energy of the cosmos. His hands stretched toward the twilight sky, and the sun and moon seemed to bow to him, the eclipse becoming permanent.

"The world is mine," he declared, his voice echoing across the shattered landscape. "Time no longer serves the weak. Light and darkness are no longer opposites, but two sides of the same coin. I am the Eclipse, and reality will be shaped by my will. The world will no longer know peace, nor destruction. It will know only the Eclipse, an eternal state of unity. I will reign over all of time, over all worlds."

He turned, walking away from the cliff edge, his steps leaving ripples in time. "And this is just the beginning."

Back in the distant hills, Lys's body trembled as he regained consciousness. He felt weakened, his body still bruised from the previous battle. His mind was clouded, but something had changed. The world was different—strange.

He stood shakily, trying to make sense of the feeling that flooded him. "What happened?" he whispered. But deep inside, he knew. The world had been altered, and he was about to face the consequences.

Lys looked toward the horizon. In the distance, he could see the eclipsed sky—the eternal twilight that marked the rise of the Eclipse Incarnation. The very fabric of time itself was now under his control.

Lys clenched his fists, his eyes hardening with resolve. "I won't let this continue. No matter what happens, I will stop him."
