Oh God! Why are these lowly maids making noise so early in the morning? I feel like beheading them all or even selling them off for at least fifty coins each, all they do is eat and chattered all day at least i will make a little money off them.."said to myself yearning stretching my body.
"Rosella, it's time for my morning bath. Add the new rose fragrance you bought from the market yesterday. I want to smell nice and clean for His Majesty's visit today," I said.
But there was no response.
"Rosella!" I yelled, but there was still no response. I slowly opened my eyes, and the room was plain white. This is not the palace, and this is definitely not my room. Where am I? And who are those people? In the corner of the room, a young lady wearing a white short gown and a white piece of cloth on her head was lying on the ground, and a yellow liquid was oozing out of her.
What is this place? And why am I here instead of the palace?
A man wearing a cloth approached me. He called me Sarah and was trying to drag me out of the bed with force to go and apologize to someone named Lily. How dare he tell the queen to apologize to someone? I gave him one push, and he landed on the wall. Next time, he will think twice before talking to his queen in that manner. I tried to stand from the bed I was sitting on, but I suddenly became dizzy and fell back on the bed. What is happening to me? Why am I suddenly dizzy? A memory flashed across my head.
"Smith loves me and not you. He only married you because his parents wanted him to marry you, or else he would not inherit the company. But he doesn't love you."
Who is this? And why is she letting a mistress talk to her in that manner? I wondered.
"If you doubt me, why don't we put it to a test?" The woman said. She poured boiling hot water on her hands and fell down to the ground, screaming, "Please, Sarah, don't hurt me! I'm sorry, don't hurt me!"
A man suddenly rushed out to the kitchen and knelt down close to the woman who was kneeling on the ground, pretending to be hurt. "Wait, this man is the same servant that wanted to drag me to go and apologize to someone. Who is he?"
"Smith, please, it's not Sarah's fault. She was angry that you bought me the custom-made dress. And she poured hot water on me. Please don't punish her," the scheming woman said pitifully.
Without another word, the man slammed the head of the other woman on the wall, causing her to pass out instantly. He ignored her and went back to the scheming woman who was kneeling on the ground, but this time she had a smile on her face. Her expression changed back to being pitiful when the man walked back to her.
"I'm sorry, Smith. I didn't mean to cause trouble for you and my sister. I will just go, and she can have the gown," she said, pretending to stand. But the man quickly held her up and embraced her tightly.
"Don't blame yourself, Lily. Your sister is just unreasonable. Come, I will take you back to my room to rest." He said, scooping her up into his arms as he jumped over the woman who was lying on the floor unconscious.
The flashback suddenly ended. I jerked up immediately. "Who is this woman? And why did she allow them to treat her that way?" I asked myself. Whatever. I looked around again. This time, the man in a white piece of cloth was standing beside me—the strange man from my visionand the woman who was lying on the ground before were standing beside him. But this time, the lady had changed into another cloth and was looking decent now.
"Mrs. Smith, are you okay? Are you having pains anywhere? This is a miracle. How is this possible? Her remaining organs were removed according to her instructions before she died," the older man wearing a white piece of clothing said, looking surprised.
"Mrs. Smith? Who is Mrs. Smith?" I asked.
They all looked surprised, especially the older man who was asking the questions.
"I am the Queen of the XI dynasty, not Mrs. Smith," I said. "And who are you people? And why the many questions?" I asked.
"Mrs. Smith, I am Doctor Zane. I have been treating you since you were diagnosed with heart failure, and you died this morning."
"What!" I yelled, and they all jumped in shock. The others were shaking in fear, and the other man was still holding his head. "How dare you wish death upon your queen?" I asked loudly. "Are you tired of living?"
They looked at each other and muttered, "Sorry.
"Mrs. Smith—oh, sorry, Your Highness—please calm down," the older man pleaded. "Let me check and confirm that everything is okay with you," the older man said, bowing.
At least there's someone here with sense who respects royalty, I said loudly, glaring at the others.
"May I?" he asked, bowing.
"Yes, I also need an explanation of what is happening and why I'm in this strange room."
The man brought out a strange object and put it on my chest. He almost fell down.
"How is this possible?" he yelled. "Her heart is beating well! Nurse, check her lower abdomen and the incision we made while removing her kidneys."
"Yes, doctor," the lady replied. She raised my cloth up and screamed. "Doctor, the uterus is still there!" She said, shaking.
"How is that possible?" The man I had seen in the vision asked. "You said she was dead, and you removed her kidneys and other organs too, so how is she still alive? What trick is she playing this time? And how did she suddenly become this powerful?"
"Hey, who is this man, and why is he here? Your wife is lying unconscious in your house, and you're here asking silly questions?" I asked, glaring at the man, who shifted back immediately. Everyone in the room looked at me with surprise.
"Mrs. Smith, this is your husband, Mr. Smith," the doctor said.
"My what?" I yelled.
"Your husband, Mrs. Smith," the lady added.
This man. If this man is my husband, then who is the lady I saw in my vision? What is going on here?
