When the remaining three supervillains saw the Ultimate Green Goblin plummeting from the sky, reality finally sank in. They weren't the hunters anymore; they were the prey.

The realization that Spider-Man's team had a high-caliber sniper changed everything. Tombstone, whose skin was as pale and hard as graveyard marble, was the first to panic. Being the largest target left, he knew he was next on the list.

"Are you kidding me?!" Tombstone roared. "A sniper? Kingpin never said they had a guy with a railgun!"

BOOM!

Tombstone's head snapped back violently. A 12.7mm bullet slammed into his forehead. Even with his diamond-hard skin, the round didn't just bounce off; it deformed upon impact, turning into a stream of molten metal that scorched his brow.

Then, the Ice-Attribute effect kicked in.

A wave of absolute zero temperature washed over Tombstone's head. It felt like his brain had been dunked in liquid nitrogen. His thoughts slowed to a crawl, and his vision blurred. If he hadn't possessed the superpower to make his body as hard as adamantium, that shot would have ended him. Instead, he was left with a massive, smoking crater in his forehead and a freezing migraine.

The Coward's Shield

Scorpion and Prowler were terrified. Scorpion, realizing he was outmatched, acted with brutal efficiency. He whipped his massive mechanical tail out, hooked the falling body of the unconscious Ultimate Green Goblin, and pulled the giant monster in front of him.

"Get behind the big guy!" Scorpion yelled, dragging the groggy Tombstone into the cover of the Goblin's massive back.

BOOM!

Another shot from Shadow Spider-Man hit the "meat shield," causing a layer of thick frost to spread across the Green Goblin's scales. Using their fallen comrade as a solid wall was the only reason they were still breathing.

"Prowler! Do something!" Scorpion screamed. "Kingpin set us up! He said there was only one Spider-Man, not a whole army of freaks!"

Prowler didn't answer. His purple lenses glowed as he scanned the shadows. He reached under his cloak and pulled out two experimental long-range rifles from Hammer Industries. Based on the muzzle flashes, he calculated Shadow Spider-Man's position.

BANG!

Prowler fired back, initiating a deadly sniper duel. However, Shadow Spider-Man was a ghost. Guided by his Spider-Sense, he was already moving to a new vantage point before the bullet even reached his old one. While Shadow was now occupied with Prowler, the pressure on the other villains eased just enough for them to counter-attack.

The Battlefield Splits

Scorpion launched himself at Peter, his green bio-armor glistening. But Peter didn't even slow down. He had a bigger target in mind.

"I've got the tail!" Middle-aged Peter Parker shouted. He fired a web, snagging Scorpion's stinger and swinging the villain into a stone pillar with a bone-shattering CRUNCH.

Meanwhile, Tombstone roared, his body turning a glowing crimson as he raised his internal temperature to 1,000 degrees. He charged like a human meteor toward the group. Peni Parker intercepted him with her upgraded mech, her metal fists clashing against his heated chest while Miles provided cover with electrified webs.

With the "Kingpin's Four" officially busy, the path to the collider was almost clear.

The Doctor's Proposal

Peter and Gwen landed near the base of the massive particle accelerator. The humming of the machine was deafening. Suddenly, a shadow swept over them.

Dr. Olivia Octavius—Doctor Octopus—crawled down the side of the metal cylinder using her four terrifying mechanical arms. She looked at Peter with a disturbing, academic hunger.

"Peter! We meet again," she purred, her grayish hair wild. "I've been thinking about you. You're different from our Peter. You lead. You innovate. You use technology instead of just crawling on walls."

She extended a metallic claw toward him. "Join us. Help us open the door. You can go home, and together, we can conquer every parallel universe. Think of the knowledge we could gain! Our interests are the same, aren't they?"

Peter opened his mouth to respond, but Gwen stepped in front of him first. She was radiating a cold, protective fury that Peter had never seen before.

BUZZ!

She ignited her Lightsaber, the brilliant white blade humming with stable energy. She pointed it directly at the mad scientist's throat.

"Peter, go handle the machine," Gwen said, her voice steady and sharp. "I'll deal with this delusional woman."
