As the dust that was once Karn scattered into the damp air of the subway station, a familiar chime echoed in Peter's mind.

[Ding! Mission conditions met. Congratulations on completing the mission!]

[Mission Completed: Spider-Man's Lifelong Enemy]

[Rewards Issued: 15,000 Points, 2 Skill Points]

The notification confirmed that the threat of this specific Inheritor was permanently neutralized in this universe. While other members of the Morlun Family still prowled the Multiverse, the death of Karn would serve as a chilling warning. For a time, this world's Spiders would be safe from the Great Hunt.

Tobey Maguire had turned misfortune into a blessing; he now possessed the specialized gear and the hard-won experience to defend himself against multiversal predators.

The Fallen Goblin

A few yards away, the original Green Goblin remained trapped in Flint Marko's pressurized sand shackles. With Karn gone, Norman Osborn's leverage had evaporated. He watched Peter with a rare flicker of genuine horror. He had seen Peter kill an "immortal" god without a hint of hesitation.

Before Norman could utter a manipulative word, Peter appeared beside him. With a precise, non-lethal strike to the vagus nerve, Peter sent the elder Osborn into a deep unconsciousness.

Flint Marko coalesced from the shadows, his expression weary but hopeful. "My promise is fulfilled," the Sandman said. "Now... yours."

"Don't worry, Flint," Peter replied, looking at the captured Goblin. "Your daughter's treatment is already underway. But you must face the consequences of your past. A fresh start requires a clean slate."

"I'll turn myself in," Marko whispered. "I want to be a man my daughter can look up to again."

Peter nodded. "When you're out, find Harry Osborn. He'll have a place for you. Being a good person isn't a destination, Flint—it's a daily choice. I look forward to seeing yours."

A Hero's Return

Peter returned to the Osborn Manor, carrying the unconscious Norman. The moment he stepped through the doors, Gwen Stacy rushed forward, her eyes bright with relief. After confirming he was uninjured, she gave him a mock-serious scolding.

"Don't you ever do that alone again," she warned, though her smile gave her away. "We're a team, Peter. Whatever happens, we face it together."

"The enemy was a bit... specialized," Peter said with a grin. "But you'm right. Together is better."

Harry looked at his father with a complicated mix of grief and hope. "Is there a chance for him?"

"He has Dissociative Identity Disorder," Peter explained. "Between modern psychiatric care and a serum-neutralizing antidote I'm developing, we can bring the real Norman Osborn back. It won't be easy, but it's possible."

When Tobey Maguire asked about Karn, Peter simply spread his hands. "He's likely having tea with Satan by now. He won't be bothering any more Spider-Men."

The Spider Society and a New Beginning

The next morning, Peter and Gwen arrived at Tobey's small, sunlit apartment. Over a pot of fresh coffee, Peter signaled that it was time for a serious discussion.

"I have two things for you, Tobey," Peter said, placing a small box and a heavy envelope on the table.

The Spider-Ring: Peter explained his vision for the Spider Society—a multiversal alliance of Spider-powered heroes dedicated to solving crises that no single Spider could handle alone. The ring was a specialized communication and transport device.

The Invitation: Without hesitation, Tobey accepted. The chance to see other worlds and help other versions of himself was a responsibility he couldn't turn down.

Finally, Peter pushed the envelope toward him. Tobey tore it open, his eyes widening as he read the contents. It was a formal appointment letter, offering him a prestigious position as a Chief Research Liaison.

At the bottom of the page, embossed in gold, was a name Tobey didn't recognize: The Celestial Life Foundation.

"You're a brilliant scientist, Tobey," Peter said. "It's time you had a laboratory—and a paycheck—that matches your talent. This foundation will be the bridge between our worlds."
