Jesse was born an orphan never having anyone to love she ate at the orphanage and the orphanage was basically her second him however that wasn't enough the orphanage was being shut down at age 13 she got a job to support the orphanage practically working herself to death her ability helped her out here and there like she could sometime work 2 shifts at once however her effort didn't bear fruit and when she was 16 the orphanage got shut down she got adopted by this shitty couple
The couple made her do all the chores clean up and cook but at least she had plenty of free time Jesse didn't have to get a job but did as it was better to save up money sure the couple were shitty but they gave her a roof and all the basics she would need so it was worth it she saved up money for herself some nice things and moved on her life could be worse
When she was 17 the couple started treating her better as they had a baby on the way and realized how isolated they made Jesse when the baby was born it was a girl named Nia Jesse younger sister and for the first time in her life she felt like she had a family and even school was getting better she had friend named Lucia the son of A-rank hero titan one day Lucia and his father titan came over to Jesse house and they watched movies and even had dinner an amazing day until titan left then a villain came in he had a flame gift and all this happened while Jesse was in basement getting snacks the villain had lost his younger brother to titan and seemed revenge so he used his abilities to incinerate Lucia Jesse adopted parents and even Nia
Luckily Jesse survived as she was in the basement by she was hungry and had limited money and eventually she met titan who overturn with grief had committed suicide right in front of Jesse she had no choice and knew she was gonna be hungry if she didn't do that and took some cash from titan
From then on Jesse lived on the streets the money she saved from her job and the money she stole from titan keeping her alive but if she ever got a place she knew the money would disappear fast so she stayed on the streets for 3 whole years until one day she was jumped by some thugs
