Alex's performance shocked everyone.
"Praise Him."
Celestine and her Battle Sisters chanted in unison, praising the Great God-Emperor.
Greyfax frowned slightly.
Alex's actions made her begin to wonder if this might truly be a miracle.
The soldiers on the ground cheered.
This scene was simply too shocking, bringing solace to their despairing hearts.
They shouted the Emperor's name, their morale greatly boosted, and launched a counterattack against the enemy.
Eldrad Ulthran and Yvraine of the Eldar stared intently at Alex soaring in the sky, their faces filled with surprise and doubt.
The fate they had foreseen was not like this; everything seemed to have gone awry.
"The Eye of Terror is expanding, and the power of the Chaos Gods / The Four Gods is growing stronger."
"As humanity's strongest psyker, and the one on the Golden Throne, he must have also gained unprecedented power."
Eldrad Ulthran recalled The The Battle of Terra of old.
In that battle, the Emperor was just one step away from becoming a god.
At that time, the entire galaxy echoed with one name: 'Dark King'.
Later, it was the Emperor's former companion, Oll, who persuaded him.
He told him to defeat Horus as a human, otherwise humanity would fall completely, like the Eldar, due to the birth of a Chaos God.
The Emperor listened, abandoned the power of the Dark King, and chose to confront Horus as a human.
Eldrad Ulthran was incredibly grateful at that moment for having eliminated the secret Cult.
If humanity had been extinguished according to the Cult's theories, the Emperor, losing all hope, would surely have chosen to destroy everything.
The Dark King would have been born, and not only would Chaos be gone, but the galaxy would likely have nothing left.
All races would be wiped out.
It would be countless eons later before new races would be born on the desolate stars, and the galaxy would regain its vitality.
"Regardless, for now, humanity growing stronger aligns with our interests. Only by continuously pressuring the Chaos Gods / The Four Gods do we have a chance to seize the Crone Swords from the Prince of Pleasure."
Yvraine comforted her people.
They had already gathered four of the five Crone Swords that awakened the Chaos Gods / The Four Gods.
The last one was in Slaanesh's domain, and they only had a chance to steal or seize it if they lured the Prince of Pleasure away or if he brought the sword out to use it.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Alex continuously destroyed the Hell Drakes and traitor fighters, making them explode into fireballs in the sky.
The loyalist gunships and fighters also began to retaliate, forcing the enemy to change direction and retreat.
The drop pods landed with deafening impacts, creating terrifying cracks on the surface.
The hatches sprang open, and squads of Astartes emerged.
"For the Guide! For the Emperor!"
Warmaster took the lead, raising his arm and shouting.
Thousands of Astartes, filled with fury, charged towards the Chaos enemies.
The transport ships slowly docked on the surface, and the Astartes Legion stepped out.
Members of the Hammer and Sickle Battle Group, piloting enhanced Zagu 01 Type mechs, joined the battlefield with heavy strides.
Amidst the roar of giant cannons, plasma fire clouds, shining with intense light, surged and expanded, incinerating hordes of enemies.
Cawl watched these mechs, his eyes glinting.
After spending these past few days together, Cawl already knew that these mechs were not products of STC, but rather newly developed creations.
Such a thing would be absolutely intolerable to the conservative faction of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
This was a challenge to Mars, to the Adeptus Mechanicus, and to the existing rules.
As for why Cawl didn't come out to criticize, well, he was a radical.
Cawl was very happy for someone to act as a vanguard, to challenge the existing rules of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
What kind of storm would erupt when the spokesperson for the Emperor's will took the lead in not abiding by the Adeptus Mechanicus's antiquated rules? It was truly something to look forward to.
"For the omnissiah!"
To deal with the Khorne Greater Daemon, Little Fatty lost his enhanced Zagu 01 Type mech.
Now, he could only wear a set of Tomorrow Series heavy exoskeleton armor, serving as a guard for the mechs, preventing enemies from getting close to attack the mechs' joints.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The automatic shoulder cannons fired continuously, and bolter rounds roared.
In an instant, several enemies with eight-pointed Chaos marks carved on their foreheads exploded.
"The omnissiah's wrath has descended! Despair!"
Little Fatty shouted, running towards the enemy's position.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Warmaster, wearing a set of CMC power armor, was charging towards the Chaos Space Marines with a chainsword in hand.
The chainsword roared, piercing a warrior of the Black Legion.
He pulled out the sword, swung it, and cut off another guy's head.
After the battle with Lucius, Warmaster's combat skills had improved.
His dual-wielding sword technique, though not yet breaking through to master level, had made significant progress.
"Indeed, I still need strong opponents as whetstones."
"By the way, who will Lucius find to resurrect him this time?"
Warmaster thought of Lucius, curious about how he would resurrect this time.
He was the Emperor's chosen, with the Emperor's blessing within him.
To parasitize him would be equivalent to Slaanesh defeating the Emperor.
Therefore, Lucius would absolutely not be able to use him to resurrect.
After thinking for a while, Warmaster couldn't figure out how Lucius should resurrect.
He simply stopped thinking about it, putting the matter out of his mind and concentrating on the battle.
Anyway, Slaanesh would definitely resurrect that guy.
If they met again, he would definitely win a fair fight against him, and then thoroughly humiliate him.
Boom!
Alex retracted his wings and crashed into the enemy crowd like a cannonball.
The immense impact sent the surrounding enemies flying.
He began to reap the lives of his enemies with his spear.
The Chaos Space Marines also swarmed him, intending to cut off his head and claim credit.
Alex's technique was simple and effective.
The spear swung with the force of thunder, heading straight for the enemy's vital points.
Whoosh~
With a whoosh, a Chaos Space Marine was pierced through.
Before he could even let out a wail, Alex had already pulled out his spear and charged towards another target.
None of these ordinary Chaos Space Marines were his match.
They became lambs to the slaughter before him.
In a short while, a pile of corpses lay around Alex.
Then, he charged towards other enemies.
Celestine, Amaric, and others also entered the battlefield.
The Chaos forces' morale collapsed, leaving behind a large number of corpses, and retreated in disarray.
Alex and the others then turned and headed for Hera Fortress.
Hera Fortress covered a vast area and was protected by a void shield.
Anti-aircraft guns dotted its towering, thick walls.
Moments later, the armored gate at the base of the fortress hissed.
The heavy armored gate opened.
Calgar, the current Chapter Master of the Ultramarines and Lord of Macragge, stepped out.
He was incredibly tall, clad in azure artificer power armor, with an iron halo of thorns behind his head.
The Players immediately became noisy when they saw Calgar.
"Blue Daddy, Blue Daddy is here, salvation is at hand."
"Wow, is this the invincible Calgar?"
"Quick, quick, call the stretcher team."
"Calgar: I'm so angry, when will everyone abandon the prejudice of the ICU War God?"
Little Fatty's mouth twitched as he looked at this group of lively characters.
"You guys should at least act a little serious. We're in the middle of a story event right now."
"Don't mess it up so the Guide doesn't take you guys next time."
Hearing this, the Players, who usually weren't serious, quieted down.
They knew that their current ability to act with the Guide was due to their tireless efforts to raise their favorability previously.
"Welcome to Macragge," Calgar surveyed the group. "Why are you with xenos?"
Calgar was considered a moderate when it came to dealing with xenos.
If it were a radical, they would have likely already taken action.
"I am Archmagos Belisarius Cawl of Mars."
Cawl stepped out of the formation, "I have come for the Lord of Ultramarines."
"I don't know who you are," Calgar shook his head. "I haven't summoned any priests from Mars."
"Error."
Cawl corrected Calgar's words with a mechanical voice.
"The Lord of Ultramar is Roboute Guilliman, and I come at his command."
"You'd best think carefully about what you're saying?" Calgar stared at Cawl. "Joking about our gene-father, have you considered the consequences?"
"I come at Roboute Guilliman's command. Take me to him," Cawl said.
"We have indeed come for Roboute Guilliman. Please take us to him first."
Celestine also spoke.
"We have traveled half the galaxy, and now, only..."
Calgar shook his head, "I will not allow any harm to come to the Primarch. Your request is too unreasonable."
"You have two choices: either stay and help Macragge defeat the invaders, or leave."
Chief Librarian Tigurius, the Chief Librarian of the Ultramarines, stepped forward.
"Sir, before the Chaos enemies invaded Macragge, I dreamt some things."
"Those dreams represent the Emperor's premonitions. Perhaps you can make your decision after hearing them."
Calgar suppressed his anger.
Chief Librarian Tigurius began to recount his dream.
He saw a planet and a giant gate covered in chains.
A terrifying giant hand struck the gate, causing the chains to break.
Countless beasts poured out from the dark world behind the gate, sweeping across the entire world.
An iron bird made of mechanical gears escaped from the dilapidated gate, clutching a sword in its metallic claws, and flew towards Ultramar.
Behind the shattered gate was a terrifying eye, which watched the flying iron bird.
As the iron bird approached Ultramar, a giant mouth full of bloody fangs opened around them, preparing to bite down with destructive force.
Chief Librarian Tigurius used this dream to predict the Chaos invasion preparations for Macragge.
He had recalled the Ultramar defense fleet in advance, which was why they were able to hold off the Chaos army.
"I am willing to vouch for this, sir. Let them see the Primarch."
Chief Librarian Tigurius said.
While Calgar was hesitating, Greyfax also spoke.
"I also vouch for him in the name of an Imperial Inquisitor. If Cawl is proven to have any ulterior motives, I will not hesitate to execute him."
"But before that, I hope you can give him a little trust."
Celestine was about to speak when Calgar preempted her.
"Alright, since you are so insistent, I will allow you to enter the sanctuary."
"However, do not let me discover any ill intentions from you, otherwise, you will all pay the price."
After Calgar finished speaking, he turned to Alex.
"Before going to the sanctuary, you must first tell me, who are you?"
