"K.O!"
A loud voice called out from a screen.
"Ahhh! This is not freaking fair!"
Hakari shouted in anger, holding his head in his arms as he looked at the screen. It displays his defeated character, while the other character has a full set of HP.
"Hmm, looks like Ken-chan is really gonna lose badly today... Me included," Kirara spoke with loss as she counted her remaining amount of money, before placing it into an outstretched hand.
"Thanks for the money~,"
Akira grinned, licking his lips as he took the money before adding it to the pile in his other hand. He slowly counted it, nodding once it reached the right number.
"Seriously? Are you addicted to this arcade or something? You've been coming here every day for the past week or so," Maki rolled her eyes at Akira's actions, her arms crossed as she stood behind her.
"Hmm? What's wrong with coming to an arcade? It beats being addicted to gambling and drugs, am I right?" Akira looked back at Maki with a hurt expression before placing his own money into Yuka's hands.
"What's wrong with gambling?" Hakari called out from the side, hurt.
Everyone ignored him.
"Besides, Yuka and I used to go to many arcades before going to Jujutsu High. You can ask her if you don't believe me," Akira said with a promosign expression, causing Maki to calm down.
It only lasted for a second before she remembered the amount of money Akira used up.
Granted, he was not using her money for it, but it still made her mad that he was wasting his hard-earned mission money on these games.
"Since you say that, I'll believe you for now. But from now on, you'll only come once a week. No debate, you waste at least 100,000 Yen every time you come here!"
Maki pointed a finger at Akira accusingly, pushing his chest with force. Akira dodged her accusing eyes with guilt as he turned to Yuka.
"Yuka, what do you have in your hand?" Akira reached out, taking a plate of skewers from Yuka's hand, and a bag of sour candy before popping three sour candies into his mouth.
Yuka froze, her eyes wet as she watched her candy be eaten.
"Hmm, not bad!" Akira nodded in satisfaction as the sour, then sweet and fruity taste pleasantly assaulted his taste buds.
At the same time, Akira stuffed the money into Yuka's hands.
"Akira! Don't you see I have my hands filed already?!" Yuka shuddered in annoyance, glaring at Akira with a disatisfied huff.
"Sorry, Yuka! Rika-chan, could you place the money inside you?" Akira apologised with a grin before calling out to Rika, rubbing the ring around Yuka's fair neck with the tip of his finger.
"Yes, Akira!"
Rika manifested partially, before stuffing the money into her chest that opened up to reveal every cursed tool from the Zenin clan.
Maki didn't have anywhere to store those cursed tools without them being stolen, so she just placed them into Rika's weapon storage, not worried about them being stolen anymore.
Who could take those weapons from Yuka and Rika?
"Thanks, Rika~,"
Akira winked at Rika with appreciation, getting a wide smile in return from Rika. Yuka rolled her eyes, huffing as she paced her now empty hands on her hips.
"Don't you even try, do you hear me?!" Yuka leaned forward aggressively, glaring at Akira, who leaned in with understanding, nodding.
Kirara and Hakari shared a glance at Yuka's words, their minds suddenly filled with Akira and Rika going at it.
They shivered at the image.
"Ugh! Are you guys serious? Just don't think at all if you're going to think about something like that!" Akira winced, coiling back at Kirara and Hakari as he read their faces.
Though... He wasn't against it... But how would that even work?
Does Rika have a hole?
And those sharp teeth...
Maybe her tongue can extend?
"Don't fret about it, man. Anyway, Kirara and I are about to go to our first-ever fighting club tournament. You wanna come and see?" Hakari got up from the seat, stretching before inviting Akira.
"Fighting club? What is that?" Yuka asked curiously while snatching her skewers and sweets out of Akira's hands, who merely smiled with a shrug.
"It's a bare-knuckle fighting tournament, with a total of five rounds."
"Like boxing?"
"Nah, more like an illegal underground fighting arena. People bet on who they think will win, and if they lose, their money is ours, while if they win, we'll give them double the amount they bet," Hakari explained.
"Who would want to watch a bunch of non-sorcerers fight? That would be boring as hell," Maki spoke up with disdain, while Akira nodded in agreement.
He'd fall asleep watching normal people fight.
"That's the fun part, the fighters are all Sorcerers, or Curse users," Hakari grinned as he pulled out his ace.
"Won't the Sorcery Guild want to shut that down? Even though they aren't the Higher-ups, that's still illegal," Akira asked with raised eyebrows, a hint of curiosity in his eyes now.
"Nah, as long as the sorcerers don't reveal too much of a superhuman power and abilities, nothing will happen," Hakai shook his head in refusal.
"And besides, what are they gonna do? Force me to stop it?" Hakari continued with a confident grin, raising his hand as he asked.
"Hmm... That's kind of interesting... Now that I think about it, I could use this to fulfil one of my goals..." Akira suddenly grinned sharply, his eyes glowing as his sharp teeth showed.
The air around him was distorting, catching everyone's attention.
"One of your goals? What's that?" Yuka butted in, leaning over Akira's shoulder and resting her chin on it. Maki's ears perked up, listening as she waited for Akira to talk.
"Don't you guys think that hiding, pretending to be normal humans, and all this, so others wouldn't know about Sorcerers, is kind of boring?" Akira spoke with disdain.
Everyone immediately understood his goal.
"If people knew about curses and cursed energy, it would bring chaos. Curses would multiply, and other countries would start eyeing Japan," Kirara spoke wiht narrowed eyes, to which Akira merely grinned more.
"That wouldn't be a problem, would it? If we allow the entire planet to be able to use cursed energy, it would solve the problem of Japan being targeted," Akira explained with a shrug.
"But then the future sorcerers born in Japan would be weaker since the cursed energy in Japan would decrease," Kirara pointed out another point.
"Not really, because if everyone on the planet knows, fear and other negative emotions would be magnified. 8 billion people, in fear of curses, or superhumans... Now that would generate negative emotion like never before!"
"That does make sense... But why do you want that?" Hakari spoke up, his hand in the air, rubbing his hair as he asked Akira in confusion.
"Because... I want to fight all kinds of people, defeat them, get stronger, only to challenge another... Lately, my blood has been hungry for it," Akira looked down at his fist, clenched hard enough to distort space.
"Hmmm, we could do that if we work together. Using my fighting club, recording fights and posting them on all social media..." Hakari nodded with an eager light in his eyes.
"Exactly- Ahh!" Akira suddenly felt a sting on his ear as Maki painfully pinched it, pulling him up from his seat.
"That sounds good and all, but we still have things to do today, or have you forgotten about it, Akira?" Maki asked with a deadly glare directed at Akira. Yuka was standing next to her, nodding her head eagerly.
Kirara and Hakari exchanged glances, taking the chance to leave without disturbing them.
Akira leaned forward, taking Maki into his arms, feeling how her lean muscles clenched, only to relax and melt in his embrace.
"I didn't forget... So, who goes first?~," Akira grinned, his eyes tracking Yuka and Maki's bodies lewdly, causing the two to blush lightly.
"We played rock, paper, scissors.... And the winner was..."
