Chapter 77 - Volume 2, Chapter 11: The Falling Sky and the Empress's Wrath

The cold air around the Warlords' platform fractured under the sudden, suffocating weight of Conqueror's Haki.

Boa Hancock stood tall, her long black hair whipping wildly around her face as an aura of pure, unadulterated malice radiated from her body. Her chest heaved with ragged breaths, not from exhaustion, but from a rage so intense it threatened to consume the entire plaza.

Doflamingo wiped a smear of fresh blood from his jaw, his pink sunglasses tilting slightly as he stared at the Pirate Empress. His trademark grin was gone, replaced by a tense, calculating scowl.

"What is the meaning of this, Hancock?" Doflamingo growled, his fingers flexing rhythmically as invisible strings hummed in the air around him. "We are supposed to be allies today. Did you lose your mind?"

Hancock didn't answer him immediately. Her burning eyes slowly drifted toward Tenjin, who was still kneeling on the cracked ice, coughing up small bits of wooden debris as his Logia body fully stabilized from being shredded.

The sight of his pale face made her heart twist with an agonizing blend of terror and fury. She took a step forward, completely ignoring Doflamingo as she leaned down toward the green-haired Marine.

"Tenjin, my beloved..." Hancock murmured, her voice momentarily dropping its sharp edge, replaced by a desperate tenderness. "Are you alright? Please, do not exert yourself anymore. I will take care of this trash for you."

Tenjin blinked, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand as a sheepish smile broke through his exhaustion. "Uh, thanks, Hancock. I'm fine, really. He just caught me off guard. That string stuff is seriously fast."

'How dare he,' Hancock thought, her internal voice screaming with absolute venom as she turned her gaze back to Doflamingo. 'How dare this disgusting creature lay a finger on my beautiful, precious Tenjin. I will turn him to dust. I will shatter him into a million pieces!'

Doflamingo burst into a loud, mocking laugh, though his veins were visibly bulging on his forehead. "Fufufufufu! Beloved? A Marine captain and the Snake Princess? Now that is a hilarious joke! You're throwing away your title for a rookie brat?"

"Silence, you foul beast!" Hancock screamed, her voice echoing across the western plaza. "Your very existence is an eyesore! I will not allow you to draw another breath on this battlefield!"

With a devastating burst of speed, Hancock vanished from her spot, leaving a crater in the frozen ground.

Doflamingo's instincts flared. He threw his hand upward, weaving a dense, defensive shield of threads instantly. "Spider's Web!"

Hancock materialized directly in front of him, her long leg swinging upward in a magnificent, fluid arc. Her high heel was coated in a dense, pitch-black layer of Armament Haki, crackling with faint sparks of lightning.

BOOM!

The sheer force of her kick shattered the Spider's Web like brittle glass. Doflamingo's eyes widened behind his sunglasses as the shockwave bypassed his defenses, hitting his forearms with the force of a falling meteor. He was blasted backward, his boots skidding heavily across the ice, but Hancock gave him absolutely no room to breathe.

She pursued him like a lethal shadow, her movements a mesmerizing dance of lethal martial arts. She twisted her body in mid-air, unleashing a rapid succession of devastating kicks.

"Perfume Femur!" Hancock cried out.

Doflamingo desperately danced backward, parrying her strikes with haki-infused palms, but every time her heel collided with his arms, the sheer kinetic pressure threatened to crack his bones.

Worse, the sections of his pink feather coat that touched her boots instantly hardened, turning into gray, lifeless stone before crumbling into dust.

'Her petrification works through Armament Haki defenses?' Doflamingo thought, a cold sweat breaking out on his neck as he narrowly ducked a roundhouse kick that cleanly decapitated a massive stone pillar behind him. 'This woman is a monster.'

Snapping his wrist forward, Doflamingo attempted to counterattack, shooting a cluster of condensed strings from his fingertips. "Overheat!"

A thick, whip-like rope of compressed string ignited with friction heat, cutting through the air toward her torso. Hancock didn't even try to dodge. She gracefully swung her leg downward, meeting the blazing string head-on with a haki-clad heel.

CRACK!

The fiery string was severed completely by the sheer pressure of her physical strength. Hancock spun gracefully on one foot, her other leg snapping outward in a blindingly fast side-kick that caught Doflamingo squarely in the ribs.

BOOM!

The impact detonated across the plaza. Doflamingo gasped, the breath forced violently from his lungs as several of his ribs cracked under the pressure.

He was launched horizontally across the ice, crashing through two heavy Marine barricades before finally slamming into the stone foundation of a defensive tower.

Smoke and debris rained down over him. Hancock landed flawlessly on her feet, her long dress settling around her legs without a single speck of dirt on it. She looked down toward the rubble with an expression of supreme, icy dominance.

Doflamingo slowly pushed himself out of the broken stone, coughing heavily, his pink coat ragged and torn. He adjusted his sunglasses, his teeth grinding together in pure fury. He had completely underestimated the raw, unbridled power of the Pirate Empress when driven by love.

Before their conflict could escalate any further, a massive, booming sound echoed from high above the battlefield, drawing the attention of every single soul in Marineford.

"Look up at the sky!" a Marine soldier screamed, pointing a trembling hand toward the clouds. "Something is falling!"

Tenjin, who was resting his back against a block of ice, tilted his head back. His eyes widened as he watched a massive, dark silhouette break through the cloud layer, plummeting directly toward the frozen bay at terminal velocity. As the object drew closer, the distinct, chaotic screams of dozens of people began to drown out the sound of cannon fire.

"AAAAAHHHHHHH! WE'RE GONNA DIE!" Buggy the Clown's voice echoed like a siren through the sky.

"Hold on to something, boys!" Emporio Ivankov bellowed, his massive head casting a shadow over the falling wreckage of a marine battleship.

Beside them, Crocodile, Jinbe, and a massive horde of Impel Down escapees were free-falling through the air alongside a very familiar straw-hat-wearing rookie.

Tenjin stared at the spectacle, a massive, hyperactive grin breaking across his face. The sheer absurdity of a battleship falling out of the sky was exactly the kind of chaotic entertainment he lived for. He looked over toward the Moby Dick, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

"Hey! See that, Whitebeard?" Tenjin shouted enthusiastically, pointing aggressively at the sky. "Now THAT is how you make an entrance! You old timers really need to work on your showmanship!"

Whitebeard merely smirked, his eyes narrowing as he recognized the boy wearing the straw hat. "Gurararara! What a reckless brat."

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The falling battleship slammed directly into the massive hole in the ice created by the previous battles, sending a colossal tidal wave of water and shattered ice fragments hundreds of feet into the air. The impact shook the entire fortress, drenching nearby Marines and pirates alike in freezing sea spray.

Tenjin shielded his eyes, watching eagerly through the mist as the figures began to emerge from the wreckage.

Up on the execution platform, Fleet Admiral Sengoku's face turned completely purple with rage. He turned his head slowly toward Vice Admiral Garp, his teeth grinding together so loudly it could be heard across the scaffolding.

"GARP!" Sengoku roared, his voice trembling. "It's your family again! Your damn grandson is leading the Impel Down escapees!"

Garp held his head in his hands, a comical look of absolute despair on his face. "Luffy... You idiot! Why do you always have to do things the hardest way possible?!"

Down on the ice, Crocodile didn't waste a single second. The moment his boots touched solid ground, his body dissolved into a swirling vortex of desert sand. He shot across the battlefield like a golden gale, his target locked entirely on the back of the world's strongest man.

"It's been a long time, Whitebeard," Crocodile muttered coldly, re-materializing in the air right behind the Emperor, his golden hook glinting in the sunlight, aimed directly at the old man's neck.

Tenjin watched the sequence unfold with rapt attention, leaning forward from his spot on the ice. 'Whoa, Crocodile is moving straight for the boss? Bold move.'

But before Crocodile's hook could make contact, a blur of red and blue shot through the air. Straw Hat Luffy materialized out of nowhere, his limbs smoking slightly from the activation of Gear Second.

He intercepted the strike perfectly, his water-drenched leg slamming hard against Crocodile's sandy arm, blocking the hook with a loud CRACK.

"Don't you dare touch old man Whitebeard!" Luffy yelled, his eyes fierce as he pushed the former Warlord backward. "He's Ace's captain!"

Crocodile skidded back across the deck of the Moby Dick, his eyes narrowing as he looked at the wet substance on Luffy's boots. "You troublesome brat... Still using water against me?"

Tenjin couldn't help but chuckle softly from his vantage point, watching the entire dramatic sequence play out. 'Man, this kid really is a magnet for trouble. The absolute chaos of this family is incredible.'

"Luffy..." Ace whispered from the platform, his voice cracking as he stared down at his brother.

Luffy adjusted his straw hat, looking straight up at the high scaffolding, completely ignoring the thousands of Marines aiming rifles at him. "ACE! I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU!"
