Emma had just stepped out of the hospital, feeling the late-night air bite coldly against her skin, yet it seemed lighter than the tension in the emergency room. The parking lot in front of her was empty, with only a few cars silently parked beneath the dim lights. She quickly walked toward her car, but just as she opened the door, a familiar figure suddenly appeared in the distance and began approaching her.
