"Negav, stop!" Karl said quietly but urgently, trying to keep his voice from trembling with worry.
Negav, suddenly pushed away, looked visibly displeased. He frowned, irritation clear in his eyes as he looked at Karl.
"Forget Ricard," Negav said, his voice calm but firm. "Just say you went out to use the restroom. What's there to worry about?"
Karl immediately shook his head in refusal, his eyes fixed on the door as Ricard's footsteps drew closer.
"No! I can't take that risk," Karl replied firmly.
He knew the situation was far too dangerous, and he could not let Ricard catch them like this.
Karl hurriedly pulled his clothes back into place, his hands trembling as he tried to get dressed as quickly as possible. While doing so, he listened to the footsteps getting closer and closer, the anxiety in his heart rising with every second.
