Emma and Ricard continued strolling through the hospital courtyard, but not long after, they decided to find a place to sit and rest. A stone bench beneath the shade of an old tree nearby became the perfect stopping point. They sat down together. The air was quiet and cool, and the afternoon sunlight slipped through the leaves, creating shimmering streaks of light on the ground.
Ricard turned to look at Emma, his gaze gentle yet filled with concern.
"Does the wound hurt a lot?" His voice was low and warm, every word carrying sincere worry.
Emma smiled softly, feeling the warmth in Ricard's concern.
"I'm fine, Ricard. I've been much better these past few days. The doctor said I only need to rest a little longer, and then I'll fully recover."
Ricard nodded slightly, relief flashing in his eyes.
"I'm truly grateful to you, Emma. If it hadn't been for you that day, I don't know what would have happened. You saved me."
