"I see. No wonder—even though he was just a normal blacksmith, Alabantino's class had a vast array of skills," Alan nodded in realization.
"By the way, you're not bad either," Chreshler said.
"I can sense that you have fought many powerful beings, yet you remain undefeated," he continued.
"How about you become my successor?" Chreshler asked as notifications appeared in front of Alan.
[ You can change your second class into Unique Growth-Type: Chreshler's Successor ]
[ Would you like to change it? ]
[ Upon accepting, the Alabantino class will vanish and all related skills will also disappear. ]
"No, thanks," Alan replied calmly.
"Tch," Chreshler clicked his tongue in annoyance.
[ You have rejected the class change quest. ]
[ A new quest has been generated. ]
"Alright then. Find me a good successor. If he meets my standards, I will reward you handsomely," Chreshler said.
[ Chreshler's Successor ]
[ Chreshler wants you to find someone who can inherit his skills. ]
[ Quest Clear Condition:
A named NPC or Paladin player among the Top 10 Ranks ]
[ Quest Reward:
One of Pope Chreshler's skills
(The skill grade will depend on how greatly Chreshler acknowledges the chosen successor.) ]
[ Time Limit: None ]
Alan nodded. "Okay. I will find one for you."
"Good. You may leave for now," Chreshler said. "Just bring one here. This cave will serve as a fine testing ground. If someone cannot even enter without crawling, then he lacks the qualifications to be my successor."
Alan nodded again and left, bidding him farewell.
"Heh. Next time I meet Marie Rose, I should thank her," Alan smiled as he exited the cave. "Thanks to her, I gained such incredible skills."
"But this quest isn't over yet," Alan muttered, a grin spreading across his face as a new notification appeared.
[ Legacy of Pagma ]
[ You have met Pagma's successor, but Pagma's successor has not yet inherited Pagma's Sword Dances. Help him obtain the Sword Dances. ]
[ Reward: One of Pagma's skills ]
[ You have learned more about Pagma, but his sword dance is still incomplete. ]
[ Quest Clear Condition: Learn all of Pagma's Sword Dances ]
[ Reward: One of Pagma's skills ]
"There are more sword dances, huh? And if I teach what I've learned to Grid, I'll gain a class-exclusive skill," Alan smiled.
"Alright then. I'll teach him."
With that decision made, Alan accepted the quest and flew toward the Vatican.
Before long, he arrived.
A grand cathedral stood before him, vast and majestic, with an enormous statue of Goddess Rebecca dominating the center. Holy light bathed the marble structure, making it feel untouchable.
"This place is really grand," Alan muttered, gazing at the statue.
He walked toward the entrance and introduced himself to the guards."I am Alan—the one who slew Malacus."
"I wish to meet the Pope."
The guards stiffened at the name. After a brief exchange, one of them nodded and disappeared inside. Moments later, he returned.
"Please, follow me."
Alan was led into a massive hall. At its far end, seated upon a gilded throne, was Pope Drevigo. High priests stood beside him, while rows of paladins lined both sides of the hall.
"Are you truly the one who killed Malacus, servant of Yatan?" Pope Drevigo asked.
In response, Alan took out Malacus' robes.
A murmur rippled through the hall.
"That relic…"
"It's Malacus'!"
"I've seen it before!"
The high priests gasped as Pope Drevigo rose from his throne, staring intently at Alan.
"What do you want from me?" the pope asked.
"The blessing of Goddess Rebecca," Alan replied calmly.
"Oh?" Pope Drevigo smiled faintly. "But blessings are not given to just anyone. Join the Rebecca Church, serve under me, and I shall grant it to you."
[ Epic (Growth) Class Change Opportunity! ]
[ Due to your feat of defeating Malacus, Pope Drevigo wishes to appoint you as an Executor of the Rebecca Church. ]
[ Executors are special paladins whose power grows, the more evil they slay. ]
"How about it?" Pope Drevigo asked, smiling warmly.
There's no way these greedy cursed beings will turn down such an offer, he thought confidently.
"No thanks," Alan replied instantly. "Just give me the blessing. I already fulfilled the condition by killing Malacus."
"What?!" Pope Drevigo shouted, his expression twisting."How dare you look down on the Rebecca Church! Guards—capture him and throw him into prison!"
"Huh?" Alan blinked. "When did I ever disrespect your church?"
"You rejected my offer!" the pope sneered. "Is that not looking down on the Rebecca Church?"
Alan sighed and scratched his head."Hey, old man. I don't like wasting words, so I'll give you one last chance."
"Either give me the blessing… or I'll kill you."
He looked straight at Pope Drevigo, his eyes cold.
"Do you really think I'm afraid of pigs like you? Even Goddess Rebecca herself might bless me for killing a corrupt swine."
"Kill that bastard!!" Pope Drevigo roared, pointing straight at Alan.
Among the paladins present, one of them was a player.
At that moment, a quest notification window appeared in front of Damian, who was standing alongside the high-ranking paladin and priest NPCs.

There were three types of paladins in Satisfy.
The most popular were Paladins of the Judar Church.
They specialized in wide-range buff skills and had excellent defense. They were responsible for party buffs and were active in party hunting and leveling due to their ability to act as main tanks. They were considered the most popular paladin class, second only to Rebecca priests.
Next were the Paladins of the Dominion Church.
They specialized in self-buff skills and had high attack power. While they weren't popular in large-scale parties or raids, they were highly favored in small-party hunting. Their single-combat ability was the strongest among paladins.
Lastly, there were Paladins of the Rebecca Church.
