The child had already gone far away. The glow of the mark on the girl's forehead grew stronger. The snake had almost fully taken shape. The girl was startled even more. She was turning her hands into the mark when—suddenly—the blue light began to fade. The blue mist disappeared. The scorpions were back at the man's feet. The musician lay unconscious.
The girl relaxed her hands. The glowing mark on her forehead had now vanished. She thought the child had been taken far away from the circular area. She was taking a breath of relief when she felt someone touch her shoulder.
She immediately turned her face in the other direction. A tall, young man stood there, looking at her with a smile. The clothes the tall man wore were exactly the same color as the girl's. Behind him stood a few more people, all dressed in similar clothing.
"You are no longer needed," the girl with the violet glow said to the man standing nearby.
Smiling, the man fixed his deep gaze on her and said, "So you are the one."
The girl nodded in agreement.
She looked at the ordinary people standing around. With gentle emotion, her lips murmured, "You all are completely safe now."
The people were witnessing, with their own eyes, two of the most radiant figures in the city. They wanted to express their gratitude, but when they met the girl's eyes, they lacked the courage.
Some words reached all their ears:"You no longer need to stand here any longer."
The voice belonged to the tall young man. He said it with a careless smile. The area around the circular pit was already more than half empty. The remaining people, hearing this, hurried away without doing or saying anything. Everyone moved on toward their own destinations, without speaking what was in their hearts.
The same young man, keeping his face steady, looked toward the girl, who was examining something around the circular pit, and asked,"How did its power come out of the sky pit in the end?"
The girl's violet eyes met the man's yellow eyes. Her lips trembled slightly as she said, "Looking into this man's eyes was forbidden—everyone knew that."
The man's yellow pupils flickered faintly. His lips moved as he said,"So you mean… someone looked into his eyes?"
He paused, glanced around, and then asked,"There was a wooden board here. Where did it go?"
Maintaining her composure, the girl replied,"I know nothing about the wooden board. And you're right—someone did look into his eyes."
The man immediately asked, thinking fast,"Who?"
As the girl moved toward the circular pit, she said,"He trapped a small child in his illusion."
Continuing as she walked, the girl added,"I can't tell you everything right now. First, we'll have to go to Silhouette."
The man made a slight face but said nothing further. He too moved toward the circular pit, where the musician lay peacefully unconscious.
The strange mark on the man's forehead began to glow yellow. The yellow light flowed out from his body and started to surround the musician. Slowly, the glow began to turn into a solid substance—like thick, shining yellow cords. Within moments, the yellow bindings covered the man's entire body.
transformed into smoke. Looking toward the girl with the violet mark, he said with a laugh, "Now the task is yours."
The girl paid no attention to the man and calmly began to interlace her fingers. Violet light started to emerge from her hands. It began to gather around the glowing yellow bindings like a chakra. The light was no longer merely flickering as before; instead, it was solidifying around the yellow cords.
It took the shape of a cuboid, within which the man was trapped.
The girl looked toward the tall young man. The tall man's feet slowly began to lift off the ground. Looking at the girl, he said, casually, "Rofc, I'm leaving for Silhouette."
Saying this, he began to fly into the air. An extremely faint yellow glow spread around him.
Rofc's feet also lifted off the ground. Looking down at the few people standing below, she said, "You know what needs to be done with this."
Without waiting for a reply, she too flew up into the blue sky and headed toward Silhouette.
