Simon continued to run with the others, sensing the battle that was happening between Saber and the Hanged Man. His mind was spiraling; so much information had been sent to it at once.
(Nicholas. He said Nicholas, right? What does that man have to do with the current situation? Why did I sense that woman's spiritual energy touching mine?)
He had many questions, some of which he could not answer. When he had first seen Saber, he felt a connection. Both of their spiritual energies, small threads intertwined.
The only logical answer was that it had instinctively attempted to form a contract with him. But if that was the case — what did she see inside of him that wanted to make her do this?
As for Nicholas, Simon could not think of an explanation. He forced himself to settle on an idea, the only concept that lined up with the timeline.
