Ren was done meeting with the Duke and the scholars. And as he left, some guards escorted him out.
He was sure as he left that the scholars were going to rant to the Duke about him. But he didn't care. He had already secured the deal.
"Mama's back!" Luria exclaimed excitedly as they turned to see him approaching with some guards. They all curiously approached him.
"So, how did it go?" Ming asked, curious, as the guards went back into the pavilion to keep watch.
Ren smiled, elegantly moving his fan around his face. "As expected of me. I always get the job done."
They all smiled.
"That's good, then." Zuran smiled. "I knew you'd get it done." He and Ren exchanged a warm smile.
Yan stared at the two of them. He was angry as he stepped forward, coming between them. "It's good that you could get it done. Now let's get going. It's getting late. I bought a whole mansion not so far from here. Let's go ahead and settle down there."
Ren stared up at him. "Huh? A whole mansion?"
