Theron stepped closer. He pulled her in, his hand wrapped around her waist automatically. "Listen, Aveloria, I need you to know that I love you so much. And I swear it by the moon, I would do anything to protect you."
Aveloria looked up to meet his gaze. "I know."
"And you are stronger than you think."
Aveloria shook her head slightly. "I do not feel strong tonight." She rested her head on him.
"That is normal. Strength does not mean never feeling shaken. It means continuing anyway."
Aveloria nodded. "I will remember that." She pulled away from him.
Theron smiled as she held his hand and led him to the bed.
Once they settled on the bed, Aveloria captured his mouth in a deep, filthy kiss. A small smile curved Theron's lips as he took her in. She ran her hands over his body. Her pulse raced as she struggled with his buttons.
"Slowly," Theron mumbled. "We have the whole night." He pulled away from her. He kicked off his boots and started undressing.
